@Pavel Vaguely? O.o
Anyways. It’s a chill place, but the admins have very busy lives. But if someone wanted to show up and run their own stories - as long as it makes sense for the time period (9BBY) it would be extremely welcome.

Step into a galaxy under occupation where heroism is punished and survival is a way of life.
A decade after Order 66, the Empire has had time to settle in. Not just with armies, but with laws, checkpoints, informants, and fear. Systems are occupied “for their safety.” Industry is nationalized. Dissidents vanish. Whole worlds are taxed into oblivion, and those in power prosper.
Shipping lanes are plagued by patrols.
Bureaucrats seize cargo with a signature.
People can disappear into the system.
And what power you believed you had over your own life is gone…
unless you learn how to move quietly.
This is an 18+ story-first roleplaying game. Write the stories you want—action, intrigue, romance, slice-of-life, and long arcs—built on consent, collaboration, and respect.
@SqeakyClean
Yeah, the weight-ism isn’t necessary, and doesn’t make you look good.
@bear_necessities
It’s not spun off from an existing game, though many of the (currently small group of) players are migrating from another, sci-fi themed game that just closed.
@MisterBoring
The general plan, by my understanding, is to use the town as a home base, with adventures out in the wider world depending on who we attract, and their interests. @Ashkuri , would love to see you there, even if only part time.
Berem is a town founded by retired adventurers. It is nestled someplace in the world of Mystara. It is a fantasy world full of adventure, treasure, and intrigue. Our goal is RP over simulation, using FS3 for characters.
Opening Oct 31, Come and stop by. Character creation is open.
Look, if someone makes a SW game run by sane staff I’m there. Just saying.
I mean. It says a lot when even the official story published by two of the five admin, and seemingly endorsed by a third, paints them so unfavorably.
While the other two admin remain… so very silent.

‘Fizzled out’ is not how I would put it?
Not that it’s been exactly healthy, either.
The official story is ‘Capricornus and Aries have lost interest in telling Star Wars stories, so everyone is welcome to join them at their new game that they’re super excited about opening! A Dresden Files style game set in Seattle.’
The unofficial story is a lot more complicated, including the fact that //someone else// already started opening a Dresden Files game set in Seattle, on ARES, 2 weeks-ish ago.
@Babs
I mean.
There was.
There is no longer.
@imstillhere said in Star Wars Age of Alliances: Hadrix and Cujo:
It wasn’t difficult to set NPCs at varying levels so that ABC targets are appropriate for the high skill dinosaur people and XYZ targets were appropriate for the newbies.
The problem there was preventing the dinos from instantly wrecking the newbie targets. Which should be common fucking sense but here we are, lol. One of the worst people for doing that was staff when I left, so that’s pretty awesome.
Like Hadrix dropping out of the sky, without so much as a roll, landing on one of the ‘guard dog’ NPCs that was there for the newbies to kill, destroying it, and then opening fire on the remaining guard dogs? Yeah. This sorta shit happened all the time.
That, of course, was the same scene where he said ‘Oh hey my wife needs me to move something heavy, hurr hurr, can my friend come in and take my spot? kthanx!’ at which point he… switched alts.
@Arethusa And don’t forget that if you don’t log in for X amount of time (30 days? I can’t remember how long they set) you lose your ships, weapons, Vendor ownerships, etc.
Painfully obvious name is painfully obvious. But… #MeToo. ‘Player 4’ in the original post could be me. I don’t think it IS me. But it could be. What I do know is that I thought he was my friend - until he turned on me abruptly. And everyone under his sway just as abruptly stopped RPing with me, on all of my characters.
As for Merek… He was trying to get something from one of my characters on a game. He invited my character over to his ship to try to build a relationship between them. He greeted my character… in silk pajamas. Maybe it was an innocent mistake, but it creeped me out.
He was subsequently talking on the public channel, complaining that people don’t RP with him. Another player said it was because he came across as creepy. He asked for clarification. I shared the above example. He immediately paged me cussing me out for making him sound like a sexual pervert on chan. …if you realize that’s how it makes you sound, then why did you do it, my dude?
He later paged me an apology for his reaction but- no. Just no.
Also: as a teacher who works with kids and special needs kids… I agree. It’s rarely the students who ruin my day. It’s the red tape, and sometimes the co-workers, and occasionally the parents. It’s painful and frustrating when you can’t get kids the help you know they need.
