Every couple of years I put a bunch of Killing Joke on repeat. You have at least 35 years worth of albums and I maintain every one, even the worst efforts, has at least 1-2 gems on it.
I’ve always been a fan of the much-maligned album “Brighter Than a Thousand Suns.” It’s a “pop” album that wasn’t a pop album at all and kind of bites back in all kinds of neat ways when you try to just groove to it.
Is it a bit pretentious? Sure, but I guess I’m the target audience.
