PSA: WhenIsGood Premium is Free
-
So I discovered this a couple years ago and it still seems to be the case. Basically: WhenIsGood premium is free (and has been for at least a couple years). If you have an account and click on the option to buy a year of Premium, WhenIsGood will tell you: “We’ve got a little problem with our billing system at the moment and can’t process your payment. There will be no charge for this year’s upgrade.” So basically you get a year for free. I just extended mine again and it’s still the same thing, so. Free premium for WiG.
The main benefit of premium is that it allows you to make polls with three levels of response options: “perfect for you”, “fine for you”, and “possible, but not ideal.” Which can be very helpful for scheduling!
Since I know this is a fairly common RP tool, I just thought I’d throw up an FYI!

It’s 2 years later and I just discovered that this is still the case. Free premium for WiG for all!

How are they making any money…?

Somebody tell the When Is Good people that they’re single handedly propping up this entire community on their pillar of weirdly free neon green scheduling tool

It’s kind of amazing how whenever it has issues, literally none of the other options are as good/effective as this jankass site.

@Roz Seems like that would be a good standalone ares plugin if someone ever were so inclined.

My understanding is whoever owns WhenIsGood also owns another booking company that actually makes money and this is kind of a legacy product. They do still appear to maintain it, though. I emailed their tech support address when it was erroring out when I tried to schedule things about a year and a half ago and an actual human resolved my issue within a couple days.
I shall enjoy it while it lasts.

It’s probably holding up something vitally important, but nobody knows why or how.
