I’m really looking forward to the amount of Final Fantasy we have in the coming 6-18 months.
- Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core remake, because I never got to play the PSP version.
- Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis (Probably gonna be mobile garbage, buuuut the idea of just having an easily digestible way to catch up on the story sounds appealing.)
- Final Fantasy XVI, I can’t not be excited for Yoshi-P’s mainline effort, even if I’m a bit sad that it’s continuing the tradition of throwing out ATB. I miss ATB.
- And Final Fantasy VII Remake: Rebirth, because I enjoyed the former a lot and really want to see where this new entry takes us. I was getting nostalgia-weepies for most of FFVII: Remake.

@Roz Have you played any Ace Attorney games?
I played a number of the original ones on my phone during my commute back when I lived in NYC! I actually bought the newest one, the prequel games? And they’re fun, but sitting at an actual computer, I found myself wishing there was voice acting, and that I could move a bit quicker through stuff.

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited for XVI. ALMOST as much as I am 6.2. ^^

Right now I’m playing mostly Surviving Mars, which is not the best basebuilder game in the world. But I find it relaxing. It also reinforces my belief that I don’t wanna live on Mars.
I’m also playing Star Traders: Frontiers. It’s a pretty good game. You fly around, trade, fight, do missions, and try not to die. At anything but the lowest difficulties, the last part is a real big ask.

Lately I’m playing “How to Break Things with Programming”, with the occasional jaunt into FF7R since I don’t own a PS5 and just recently acquired it from its release on Steam. I flirt with FF14 but I’ve grown a bit apathetic about it for some reason. I’m not sure why; I think I’ve changed to care mostly about the story progression, or I’ve burnt out on the gameplay loop. I don’t really know, but there you have it.

No Man’s Sky just released another update. This one (and the accompanying expedition) look pretty nifty.
-
There’s a few games that I seem to keep on regular rotation:
- Conan
- 7D2D
- Ark
- No Man’s Sky
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Subsistence
- V Rising
- Valheim
I’ve also had my eye on Stray because, well. Cats.
-
i picked up stray IMMEDIATELY and i’m probably gonna start streaming it TONIGHT in fact
because i’m excited about KIBBY

@Roz Meowmi!

i am trying to replay through the Fable games. after playing Fable I and liking it just as much as I remember, i am trying to play through Fable II, and i just-- find it so clunky? and boring?
-
Update: I bought Stray. I do not regret this choice.

Stray is so good! I love it!

I’ve been meaning to get back into FFXIV, but have been laaaaazy. I got Ark 1 during the mega sale, but haven’t even tried to load it, worried my computer will just melt. So what am I actually playing? I bounce back and forth between a few different games, with varying levels of ‘oh God, I sat down 14 hours ago to start playing, where did the time go?!?’:
Horizon: Zero Dawn (Yes, I still hunt the robots. MU when?)
FF7R (Keeps me in a semi-Exalted, semi-Shadowrun vibe!)
Rimworld (MOSTLY with the mods that turn it into The Martian, adding atmos and water)
Space Engineers (SPAAAAACESHIPS (and rovers, and stations)
Stationeers (More IN DEPTH space station building)
Timberborn (Civilization, but with Beavers)And some other games I haven’t played in an even longer while than FFXIV. Valheim. 7D2D. Elite Dangerous (May never go back, after disappointing space legs, we’ll see)

Stray made me an emotional wreck, I love that little cat. Every time I think about that little cat, I cry again. Named them Howard.
I want to help every cat in the world.

Hi folks! Breaking my lurker silence to highly recommend Outer Wilds. It’s difficult to describe, but is primarily focused on exploration, investigation/puzzle solving and is story driven. If you do end up giving it a shot, I strongly suggest not looking up detailed reviews, synopses or spoilers. It’s way more fun to experience with no knowledge going in.
