Does anyone else increasingly feel like you have no time ever for recreation? Here’s an idea of my backlog, assuming I did full completions including postgame:

finish Octopath Traveler I - 20h? (Postgame quests and bosses) Octopath Traveler II - 120h? Dragon Quest I-III (HD-2D) - 200h? <- hard to judge; probably higher Dragon Quest VII Reimagined - 150h? <- estimate due to 200h on DQXI Horizon: Forbidden West - 70h? God of War: Ragnarok - 70h?

Now let’s add in stuff just released or soon to launch that will undoubtedly consume focus!

Windrose (EA launch) - > 50h easily I’m sure; depends on content. Soulmask (1.0) - > 100h if I commit to it

Yeah, I can’t say I was psyched ot see it was 5E but it’s not a deal breaker either. It’s weird because we live in a great time for IP-based RPGs(Transformers, GI Joe, Power Rangers, and now Thundercats), but I’m not a huge fan of any of the systems behind them. The exception being Star Trek. I do like the 2D20 system.

I long for being able to finish that game. It’s very beautiful and the story is great, I just had such trouble parrying and dodging on account of having to play it with the sound off on a Steam Deck.

I am but a week away from getting a computer capable of running baldur’s gate 3. Once I make sure the machine is actually going to work I’m going to buy it on steam. I cannot wait to play this game. I’m old and about to die so I’m going to spend the last few years of my life acting like I’m 14.

Reason two: Lawyer Fren made the critical error of mentioning Elite Dangerous in my presence, so of course I am once again pricing flight stick setups. Why brain do this, plz halp.

@Cobalt I could offer some recommendations there! Not for games, exactly, but for what sorts of games, in my experience, makes the difference between fun, impulsive editing, and editing where footage needs to be meticulously outlined.

2e is wildly different to 1e, for what it’s worth, and essentially every change is an improvement. It’s still customizable and fun, but the three-action economy is such a huge leap forward in streamlined play that it makes it basically impossible for me to go back to pf1e or 5e.

Plus, archetypes. Being able to suplex a dragon (if your rolls are good enough) is supremely cool.

@SpaceKhomeini I started a new run as a Solo rather than my usual Netrunner build and I got this flak for “not putting in effort” from Regina for the first time. I had the exact same reaction.

If Hasbro had any brains, they’d have WotC’s writers come up with a wargaming ruleset for GIJoe and Transformers. And hawk the existing figures and stuff to use in game. In a huge middle finger to Games Workshop.

It’s both because the roster is segmented (how many raids are you going to run in one week, after all) but also because, once the better performing players become unavailable the rest can’t clear the existing content either any more. @icanbeyourmuse Yes. I had that problem as well. So I’m going to suggest a somewhat controversial solution that was suggested to me – and which worked for me, at least.

With the base game going free to play it’s no surprise whatsoever that pirates promptly worked out how to use that to their advantage. This software will allow you to fire up a legal base game and then add whatever packs and kits to it that you want. That, however, is not the point and not what I’m suggesting.

The trick is that to do so, the DLC downloader rewrites your config. And for some reason, I am definitely not coder enough to understand, that fixes this issue, at least for some of us.

TLDR; pirate software mysteriously fixes a game bug.
