      Hello!

I am playing Arielle on Wyrdhold (https://wyrdhold.com/characters/Arielle). I’m looking for people who don’t already have a character who’d be interested in playing family members.

The Ardnets are a local family of Scotsville who have been there since before the incursion, who run a local sustainable farm (https://wyrdhold.com/map#location:319). The Ardnets are typically witches BUT Rusalka has stated that all family members do not have to be the same template so I’m open for folks to be anything they wish.

The farm raises goats for milk and cheese products, and grows seasonally appropriate crops. If you’re interested hit me up.

@Cobalt I’ve never played a game as a member of a family. How do you reconcile things like time zones/play times?

@Istus I’m a little confused by this question. It’s the same as any other relationship – you communicate ooc about what is happening between your characters when you can’t be online at the same time.

let it be a challenge to you

You just said exactly what I have been wanting to scream at two very troublesome customers earlier.

All of the laurels and fanfare for you!

I think it’s important to find out about the family culture/talk about things a bit to make sure it’s something you’d enjoy playing and building too. And probably it’s good if you are willing to be respectful since it’s a risk for someone to take on a random person. Don’t make their life harder. Timezones can be less important if you’re willing to do async too. But really this is pretty individual. Some folks have a pretty light hand as far as expectations. Usually I do, but i think i might be re-evaluating.

Well, I’d need to know your timezone first to figure out how we’d reconcile it. I’m a chronic insomniac so if you’re not US timezone there’s a good chance we’d be able to RP either early morning my time or late night my time.

But as @mietze and @sao mentioned we’d want to have open OOC communication. Which is super easy because pages don’t go away on an ares game (well I mean eventually probably, but a backlog is kept for a while), and we’d want to talk about the thoughts and cultures we have in mind for the family.
