Planners
-
Is anyone else a planner person? I’ve been using the same system for a few years but noticing a whoooooooole lot more white space in my book since I graduated in May. So now – naturally right AFTER ordering my planner for 2024 – I’m considering switching to a different, preferably more portable system than the one I have.
Curious to hear people’s thoughts on:
- Hobonichi
- Plum Paper
- Ways to bullet journal that are effective instead of totally overwhelming as you’re forced to build your own layouts from scratch.

I bought a rocket book planner and I
it. All the wonderful of handwriting but also the flexibility to upload it to my drive and such so I don’t have to carry the actual planner around. -
Previously been a devout bullet journal user, then wanted something digital so I could take it with me and used Notion.
More recently been entirely focused on simply getting to-dos done so went for Todoist as it has both an app, web and desktop version.
Has been a lot more helpful since it’s just a simple to do list, without having to spend a good hour+ sighing at my meager art skills to make pretty layouts.

I’m a fucking mess with too much executive dysfunction to use a planner, heh heh heh.
But thank you for bringing it up, maybe I should.

I started using bullet journals after my therapist suggested them and they greatly helped with my adhd, executive dysfunction and anxiety. That being said, I still have days where anxiety wins out and it feels more overwhelming to try and make my own layout.
So I got this both for the anxiety days and for easier on the go scheduling. I like that it has the same bullets and boxes as I’d make with a bullet journal. I just don’t have to spend the spoon to design it instead!

I’ve used this one for the past 3 years now. The paper is nice and thick, and I use the lined undated paper in the back to keep journal and notes. I use fountain pens, and generally there’s no ink bleed.
