For whatever it’s worth, the patches that have come out recently (1.5 and up) have made it an… actually decent game? It’s actually playable now, on PC at least. Can’t comment on the console versions but I’ve heard good things.
@Reason I get the hesitation, but in a time when your SF options in MU* Ares/Evennia-land are essentially Firefly or Pern, I really think a proper hard SF game could do well. Or at least I would hope so.

Perhaps a hot take from a relative newbie, but I don’t think a detailed magic (or combat, really) system is really ideal for a MUSH. If you want to implement all sorts of fun code toys, there are other game types better suited to that than a MUSH. I love Ares as a game platform, but I feel like FS3 already stretches the limit of what combat should be in a MUSH.
If you have to start worrying about different spell types, weapon types, etc, for anything other than specific plot reasons, maybe what you actually want to run is an RP MUD?
mac OS sure seems to break a lot of stuff with every annual update. It’s always fun to figure out what it will be this year.

Very into the first one, not so much into the second one, but outright fantasy just isn’t my bag.
I’ve never played on an Evennia game before, but a sci-fi concept like the first one is definitely enough to get me to give it a whirl.
