Former and founding member of the Dixie Chicks, Laura Lynch, died in a car collision last night. No word of how the other parties are doing.

Tom Smothers, half of the comedy team the Smothers Brothers. This one hurts. They were one of the first comedy acts my mom shared with me as a kid, and we went to see them perform live a couple of times. We watched their TV show religiously, and–you get the point. I have a lot of memories tied up in the Smothers Brothers.
Your mom may have always liked Dick best, but I liked you, Tom.
