i do find it interesting that every time i hear people talk about liberation in a negative light, it’s always polk involved, not directly sundancer.
i know derp had a thing, and now this thing? etc.
-
@Meg With me, it was Sundancer who made me leave, but now that this is all going down… definitely glad I didn’t try a non-Sundancer involved sphere.
Delusional people.
-
@Mourne oh sorry, i might have misinterpreted some of the posts i read. my eyes glaze over a bit when i am introduced to words like gnosis and splat (i figured out what splat is; still don’t know what a gnosis is).
-
MANA
-
@Meg Pretty sure it’s a type of potato pasta. Delicious.
-
@Meg Upvoted because jfc, the effort it took me to get an explanation for ‘splat’
-
@Meg Gnosis is a very expensive stat to raise that forms the dice pool for some supernatural abilities and the resource pool you spend for others. It represents how connected to the quote-unquote natural world you are, so werewolves who were born with two legs and nipples have less, while werewolves born with four legs and six nipples have more.
-
@Meg Gnosis is spiritual energy used by Shifters in oWoD, and power stat for mages in nWoD iirc.
Essentially it goes like this:
Human born shifters start with 1 (nearly all the time for every species barring extremely rare outliers) because humans are not in sync with Gaia, Spirits, and other levels of being generally.
Metis (Shifters born of two shifters) start with a 3, because they’re born in the monstrous war form, and can’t exist in polite society, and have to be raised by either really patient (and brave) kinfolk, or by a community of shifters.
Lupus, aka animal born, start with 5 as they are in sync with nature and themselves because, animals.
Metis have deformities and are sterile.
Lupus lose access to a plethora of abilities and backgrounds in general.
So there is some measure of balance.
And what @GF said
-
@Testament I lol’d. Also it is delicious.
-
@GF wait, so does that mean Sundance was basically telling these appers ‘hey, you wanna be born with more nipples? that’s the incentive i’m offering you’.

That checks out, yes.
-
@GF I always knew that nipples were magic and having more of them would make me a sorceress.
-
@Herja Trust me, after feeding your evil black cat familiar twice, you’ll be grateful you have more places for it to feed from so your other nipples can heal between meals.
-
@GF I also need save one for Satan. He gets his own special nipple.
-
@Herja Yeah, yeah, the Satan teat we’ve all seen it.
-
@Pavel That Satan, he’ll show his nipple to anyone, such a hussy.

This checks out with Werewolf: the Forsaken 2e, since the wolf-blooded (no longer JUST breeding stock!) can spontaneously grow a third nipple that you milk majikul energy out of.
-
@Jennkryst I have never had a strong desire to play WoD until this exact moment. I’m sold.
-
@Herja @Jennkryst My favorite 2e wolfblood merit is second skin where you are born with this sentient fur blanket. You can’t really be away from it too long I think. I always liked the idea of freaking people out, leaving it on random furniture etc. “Oh that? It’s just her birth fur blanket. It breathes and has a heartbeat but don’t worry, it doesn’t bite.”
