I love reading logs. And following other peopleās character development. Itās likeā¦ why Iām here. And when Iām not allowed to do thatā¦
ā¦I donāt! Because Iām not a weird little power-mad gremlin.

I personally wish people would write an abstract at the start of their logs.
-
Oh, I would love a tl;dr synopsis of every scene. Give me a watered down version. And make the explanation the length of a Tweet.
-
@Testament Isnāt that what the scene summary is for?

Iām available to peer review logs before publication.
-
@DrQuinn Sure, but explaining a scene like a Tweet just sounds funnier to me.

yes you do, you LIKE
-
@hellfrog You just broke Braumās heart. You monster.
-
@shit-piss-love The modern version of the staffer DARK stalking, I guess.
-
@Pavel The entire thing was a nightmare from start to finish. If your background wasnāt being revised constantly, it was your stats or your advantages orā¦
I meant to jump into this thread earlier, but I had to mull over what I wanted to say.
You know when you should feel anger, but itās just a kind of lingering sickness? Like being stood up by Patrick Bateman.
-
@somasatori I provided an annotated bibliography and just like in grad school, I was āmaking up nonsenseā and āwasting precious research moneyā
-
@Roz Youāre not wrong. It was a threat and it remains a threat until there is disclosure.
The āwhyā of the threat, however, is a bit more interesting.
Letās say that you, and by āyouā I mean in a pretend situation where I am talking to someone named Roz on a messageboard about this unrelated fictitious scenario, actually stood to lose a lot if something this weird fell under professional scrutiny.
āWhy are you revising the private exchange between two former people playingā¦ magicians? What is roleplaying?ā
This is my suspicion, but given the hasty rush in and out of the hospital for (I forget exactly what, itās still posted on the bboards) exhaustion/stress/burnout/whatever, which was then blamed on said playerā¦
That doesnāt look good, either. It sorta looks to me like, uh, something Iād pull out of my ass because I was terrified and trying not to show it.
sighs Sorry.
I know you already know.
It was just a really bad, bad, bad, experience. Like booking a vacation abroad and finding yourself in a civil war. >.<
-
@Serafine I honestly have no idea what youāre trying to say here. That Inuki posted the logs because ofā¦professional scrutiny? What?
-
@Roz Well, let me see.
If you were a famous heart surgeon and also a serial killer, and someone knew and had evidence, you stand to lose quite a bit.
Turning the dial on hyperbole down to a 3, this is the behavior of someone who is doing to someone else what they would themselves do: assuming the worst and acting accordingly.
LIke sock-puppeting PCs and humiliating their players after youāve banned them for absolute nonsense, this looks like the behavior of someone who (in their mind) is trying to take down a threat because they feel they have something material to lose.
For my part, I suddenly understand Barbara Pym on a deeper level.

@inuki you sound like the asshole here, even in the receipts you shared. And thatās coming from me, a very talented asshole. Your passive aggression is off the charts. Please convert it to actual aggression, it makes it much easier for people to decide if they want to deal with it or not.
Also who the FK logs in a banned playerās character and POSTS THEIR PRIVATE SCENES. There is. Absolutely. No reason. To do that. Ever.
Back in my haunted-memories or maybe it was TR-- I think it was HM --days, I had a player in my sphere who took up almost 90% of my time. Frustrated me to no end, that I was constantly. Every time Iād log into the damned staffbit thereād be a job waiting for me about something he had done or something he wanted to do.
It got to the point where I sat him down and said: Look, you take up too much of my time I have to spent countless hours dealing with you and donāt get enough time for the rest of the sphere. Iām removing you from the sphere for the good of the sphere.
Yāknow what I didnāt do after I unapproved his character? I most certainly didnāt log into his character bit and make all his secrets public.
And that anyone would defend @inuki after she did that tells me everything I need to know about that person. Because that sort of stuff is a massive violation of what little expectancy of privacy players have on mushes.
And it gives me the chills RL. Itās gross.
@Warma-Sheen youāre gross for defending @inuki.
