After deciding to unblock Ghost and see what all he’s written since he’s been unbanned, I stand by what I said: the man’s a slimy piece of shit, more importantly, one who gets off on drama and tries to stir it up. More of his time is spent insulting people than anything else, and yeah, any community that wants him, I don’t want to be part of. His is the most obvious fucking weaseling I’ve ever seen, but WE’RE the bullies, clearly.

I’ve always gotten the impression that something like 99.9% of all Ghosts posts are an attempt to troll or bait someone. Even when he’s on the same side as you on an argument it feels more about him trying to demonstrate his aloof superiority then a genuine attempt to be constructive.
@Jennkryst Yeah, I’m in the same boat. I’m kind of annoyed that I now have two forums in which I lurk, though. Also I’m kind of sad that the community got split so thoroughly. I’ve seen it happen in hobbies before, and it just reduces the whole community.
Judging from relative activity of the two boards, it looks less split and more like most active posters went over.

I don’t think either he or Derp have the emotional fortitude to stay away much longer.
I hope my calling them out on it delays the inevitable KICKING OPEN THE DOOR TO TELL ALL US FOOLISH WOMEN (and Tinuviel) HOW WRONG WE ARE, but I expect them to show up aaaaaany day now.

No, that’s me.
I mean, it is true. Ghost doesn’t need to demonstrate his superiority, he just alters words and meanings until it is self evident. He doesn’t attack people, you see. He only attacks bullies. So all the rampant attacking he does, over and over again, must be because others are bullies. Because he attacked them. And he wouldn’t attack them if they weren’t bullies. It’s so logical.
Just like the conspiracy of people harassing Macha’s friends for farfalla, or how people were being held back by a clique with no direct power (compared to an admin who banned a lot) and are now free etc etc. And that’s their reality, their nice little emotional space, where they can’t be told they are wrong about it, because it isn’t real in the first place. In the same way “our” version of how things went down will have elements of our own emotion around it creating our own altered version of it all.
I just know that if one list has @Snackness and @tsar, and the other has Ghost? I know which list I want to be on. He can call it a clique or bullying or name calling, I just call it having friends and cultivating my own little bit of happiness.

I doubt much will be done. He has already engaged in attacks and broken the rules around assuming good faith etc, and others around him have got warnings and bans, and he skated on by. You are trying to find an objective yard stick for action, when the reality it is ‘What serves Gany and Derp best at this particular time and in their particular mind set’

yeah the whole “diverse opinions” thing is really weird when one side is “hates women” and the other side is “thinks slut shaming is bad”
like yeah…that’s the big difference that I can see between clique and not clique, sooooo if that’s really your view on the “sides” of the issue…

Not to play devil’s avocado here, but I think now it’s less about what Gany wants and more about what Derp wants. For all the grandstanding and iron-fisting (ooh err matron) done by Gany, I’d absolutely believe that Derp was “the decider” on the unbannings and the new code of misconduct.

Funny trivia about the forum software. Because I had Derp blocked before he became Admin, I actually can’t read the CoC or other new announcements while logged in :=)
