They believe they are wanted, that the banning was based on false information and bias, and if only they got a fresh start, the bias could be overcome.

Power and control issues also play in. Forcing people to put up with you who don’t want to is power.

@Polk I know a dude who lied about his identity on Arx for years because he knew someone he played with regularly didn’t actually want to play with him.
For YEARS.
