@Pavel I wanted to make a joke about Pavlovian responses and adapt it to "Pavel"ovian, but at 2:16am I couldn’t bring it all together.

I wouldn’t call this broke so much as “idk if I/dvor need to change a setting somewhere”. It might also be a Chrome-specific thing with their vertical tabs update (ETA - it is) that I’ve started using, but:

The ^^ vv prompt in the bottom right COVERS IT UP for bigger threads/topics.
(Because you can see I edited this one fine since it says “5 out of 5” which takes up less screen space.)

That’s been that way for awhile for me. I found a workaround by shrinking the browser width. It moves things around enough that the edit button becomes clickable. If it can be fixed for real, that would be wonderful.

@tez Didn’t there used to be a button to hide all posts from a particular user? I was looking for it for the recent troll and I can’t find it now. (maybe I’m remembering this from another forum though and it was never here…)

@Faraday I know there was one on The Other Place but it broke at some point. One can still block people, thankfully.

I think blocking them does that, but it doesn’t prevent them from seeing your posts, which would be more useful tbh.

At least if you block them you can’t see their replies… until someone quotes them, alas.

I did go and edit most of their things because they are nonsense.

@junipersky While IMO best practice is to delete any of their offensive posts if they earn a ban, I’ll admit there’s something delightfully petty about editing them instead. Enjoy your upvote!

How? I do not see a BLOCK button on either the post or on their profile.

ETA: I think if they’re banned the block button doesn’t show up. I don’t see it on troll’s profile menu, but I do see it on other peoples’.

There is a little floaty ball over the text blinker, and I hate it.

I know it’s there for accessibility reasons, to find the cursor, but it’s freaking me out.
