My snow dog is not enjoying the scorched English savannah right now.
I’m not sure why that photo came out with a lens flare. I didn’t do it on purpose, so I think it’s her natural radiance emanating them wherever she goes.
She is, however, remarkably well camouflaged for this weather. As you can see, in this picture she’s completely disappeared. I bet you can’t even see her now.

I was very sad for 3 full days.
I am happy again.

So we lost one of our rats this weekend. One of a pair of brothers, he was sweet but didn’t like to be picked up. Sadly I can’t find any pictures of him but in honor of all our rats, I’m posting one of our OG pocket puppies. My rats were the stepping stone that started the climb out of some serious depression in 2017, their lives are short but just like anything else, time doesn’t really dictate how impactful someone can be, pet or human or whatever.

I wish to join the void worship. Especially as the one void hates me. Since she keeps being midly sick (diarrhea and now an eye infection) and I have to keep giving her medication she DOES NOT LIKE so I am not making much headway in making her a friend. (Sadly, she learned that I tried to put the yucky meds in a treat once and she has decided ALL treats are tricks now and will not eat them.)

She really is!! And her hair is like silk.She came in with the rest of this family (10 in all) and we thought she was Periwinkle’s daughter, while Cleome was mama to the 7 babies. Rose and Periwinkle got spayed and we intended for them to go back to the shelter together.
However, after surgery Cleome kicked Periwinkle out of the family by hissing and swatting at her, but let Rose come back. Ever since it has been obvious that Rose and Cleome are a pair. Rose is obsessed with Cleome and Cleome cares for Rose like a mother more than an aunt. We just bowed to the will of the cats and will bond Cleome and Rose to be adopted as a pair even if it does mean they might not be adopted for a while. (Bonded kittens stay at the shelter an average of about two weeks longer, bonded adults? Years.
But better they stay at the rescue warm, fed, loved, and together then lose the other creature they love most.)Cleome and her 7 kittens
