ELWOOD HAS BROKEN 1K PAYMENT FOR AUTO-CALCULATED TAXES. My broke ass barony has a real income now! Soon we will have a house axe, too!

Is there a yoke on changing the home property/properties owned by roster PCs when you first take them? If so, what do you do to get things fixed when they’re super broken/misspelled/ugly/etc?

You can change their rooms however you want however I would say that if you’re going to make a major layout change you should try to create some RP around the remodeling.
I have a hard time seeing anyone object to fixing bad spelling or ugly formatting either way. Your character should have the power to edit their home room, if it doesn’t make a ticket and staff will probably help you out.

There’s a guide on the Wiki here about how to do it in terms of code, structure, and colouring rules. Plus if you are changing the name then how to change the exits.
Even when I follow it, I end up calling the exit o <o>,o and have to ask staff to fix it.

I mean, I wrote the most of the guide and I still have to like triple-review how I typed out the potential new exit because yeah

@JKER It’s not. I’m keeping the original design, just fixing spelling and tense and adding one new animal-based outbuilding. There’s nothing in the descriptions for the actual housing at all, so I think they split before they finished it.
I can’t get the descriptions I put in to stay, it always gives me the positive message that it’s going to change then reverts to the original. Also, the second room of the property has no owner.

I haven’t had to build anything for awhile, but I think you have to like enter twice for a room descrip to take - I may be misremembering. Like, it’s all ‘this is how it will look - if you like it, repeat the command’ or something. If it doesn’t stick after THAT, then yeah - may have to ping staff. If I’m even right about the above, which

Yeah, it may be a case of asking you to re-enter a second time to confirm.

It may also be fighting with a seasonal description. I think if a seasonal one is set, that will generally take precedence.
For the room without ownership, you’d have to put in a request to staff, there’s not a way player side to fix that.
ETA: I’d also suggest getting live help on the Info channel might be helpful for you, since you can go into more detail and people can help more specifically.

Just to touch on the above, YES, it does take enter + enter again to confirm, like most things in Arx, and I got that bit right.
THIS though, THIS is interesting because yes, there are seasonal descriptions so I’ll go look at those when I wake up, and I’ll drop a line to staff about the ownership on the other empty room. Thank you!

Every time I’ve looked at Arx nobody on roster appealed to me, and apparently, there is no way to make your own character anymore. Or at least there wasn’t when last I looked.

@Mourne OC creation has been off for awhile. I’m sorry the roster is so full of drek, it is my deep regret that I could not personally fix this by generating 10,000 PCs.
