@Zephyr The ‘stayed staffing in place that was bad and had real ethical dodginess thinking I could help or do good in some way’ club is one with a wide and varied membership (Thinking of you SerenityMUSH and Firan), Some of the best people I know have made that mistake, it doesn’t make you feel good, but, yeah.
Sorry to see Cujo never changed, that is really…sad in so many ways. 20+ years is a long time. I guess I should go read my own forum signature again.

@Zephyr Not to hammer this into the ground even further but I’ve known Zephyr for years off and on and if Zephyr says they smell smoke, there’s probably fire.
tl;dr: Zeph is cool AF, always in good faith and reasonable.

I know people sometimes have strong views on coriander, but dang. It’s just there trying to make our soups and curries better, it doesn’t deserve this.

I don’t know about posting it on the forum. I know that the admin of AoA are watching this like a hawk. Before I was kicked off staff I watched them all commiserate over how awful they thought this post was, and assure that they knew everyone here was just a bunch of angry, lying people who were banned from games. No proof is enough proof for some people, and when presented both it and the person who posts it is ripped to shreds. Granted posting here at all puts me at risk of it too.
As satisfying as it is to see all of this finally aired out, it’s also disappointing to be repeatedly painted as the villain in a place I invested 7 years playing, and 4 or 5 years on staff trying to help. It’s not fun.
DM if you want to see it for now, I guess? I can shoot logs over to people who aren’t in the flying monkeys camp.

I am angry.
I only lie about Santa Claus, or who ate the last cookie (sorry @Roadspike, IT WAS ME).
But, um… I’d really like to see logs/screenshots if you would be OK DM’ing them to me. Mostly because… I’ve been there, and I guess I want to see if things are the same as I suspect they’ve always been. If you don’t mind.

I’ve read the logs, seen the receipts. And it’s interesting seeing Cujo’s mindspace. He’s so set on something and refuses to budge. It’s exactly - and I mean exactly what people have been describing about him. To the letter.
Dumb jokes when involving sexual anything (parts, gender, orientation) are not in good taste. I’ve made dumb mistakes in the past. But when someone asks you to stop - you STOP. The fact that it continued for what sounds like years? After someone tells you something is in poor taste and you CONTINUE? That’s just flagrant.
He’s so entrenched that he’s not open to different ideas or ways of thinking.
I do feel regret that @Zephyr had to put up with this. Promoting someone to staff that’s had complaints like that is insane. And paying off exactly how one would expect. Some people can learn. Put things aside. And move on from their mistakes. Some people never learn. It’s clear to me they are in that camp.
I do have to say Zephyr, thank you for being open, honest, and coming here to share your experience, story, and the receipts.

Excuse me. I was never banned from anywhere.
Also AoA was sketch af when I played, but then again, I joined with a group of people who weren’t always the most healthy and one who flew all the way off the handle multiple times, so I don’t know what was shitty group dynamic and what was the game.

It’s worth noting in general that if someone isn’t laughing at your jokes, they’re at the very least situationally bad jokes, and maybe don’t insist on telling them over and over again to someone that doesn’t find them funny.
