@Roz I think it’s largely messed up because generally most people who do that do so in a way that suggests they’ve learned some kind of life lesson. Generally while assuming positive intent.
This just comes off as pure maliciousness to prove some kind of inane point that, what? People on internet forums shouldn’t be friends? I don’t know. Even suggesting it is some kind of weird…almost catfishing type thing.

@Jax OK, it took me some time, largely because I semi-misremembered the name, but she’s also Amara@Comic Adventures.

See, I’d remembered the name as this twee thing with “adore” in it, so searching around for a character with a name containing “adore” just wasn’t working. It turns out that “Adora” is her character’s code name. So she’s Amara Matthewson, the slender redhead, who’s also a firefighter (?) and has the code name “Adora”.
Insert the appropriate eye rolling meme here.
I’m pretty sure she’s got another alt there, but I’m not going to waste my time surfing the site’s wiki to find all the “original” characters using red-headed women as played-bys.

@Adora I am genuinely, no lie, sorry that this … thing … and you are even this peripherally related in anybody’s thoughts anywhere.
I’m tracking down a third alt I have even vaguer memories of. Maybe it will have a code name that will ruin someone else’s life. Here’s hoping!

@Cobalt I suggest continue to not interact. They likely are just going to use it as a way to show you are a ‘horrible person’ since that seems to be what they have decided about everyone here. Besides, if they really wanted you ‘clear up’ things, they would have put things where you are clearly interacting with people more.

Good thing no one ever uses the guise of questions to put ideas in people’s minds. You definitely never hear about lawyers cross-examining someone and asking questions they know they won’t be able to get answers to just the plant the seed of assumptions in the jury’s mind. (Or maybe that’s just Hollywood, who knows.)

There’s no joy to be got in posting over there. A known bad actor with a thread hundreds of posts long came in spewing her bullshit and they not only treated it credulously but started making up narratives that could paint others in a negative light.
That site is the grease trap at the bottom of the MU* community. Everyone who is not a complete piece of shit has moved, and posting there is just for that clown show to pick apart in a safe space for them.

@Cobalt You have some pretty clear support here, by not just your friends but the community. So let me have you answer some questions to yourself.
- Will going over there to try to refute anything actually gain you anything?
- Are you giving in to what Macha wants more than yourself?
- Do you have anything to gain by answering their questions?
- If you did go there to answer things - why are you doing it?
Macha & the MatchaFriends will try to bait you (that’s been pretty obvious, if laughable). They will try to talk in technicalities - You banned me but X person was doing this and I feel was worse, why didn’t you ban them too, or first, or give them a second chance? Blah blah. You made your judgement call. You have the support of our community here. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I support you. Many have come out to support you. You helped to out a problem player, and lots of people have stood up and said ‘I had a problem with this person too!’.
You dont have to refute anything. You dont have to say boo to them. If you want to - sure. But dont feel you ever have to. You made a judgement call, and that call was the right call for you.
Macha is going to (and is currently) underground and discording, PMing, and plotting away at different people. It wont stop. It’ll continue for the next however many months, or years.
You do you Cobalt. You got this.

For real, I wouldn’t waste the time responding over there, even just spitefully. Interacting over there at all just validates them that their opinions have weight and value in this community and they just… don’t. Just like how no ‘conservative Twitter wannabe’ has been able to succeed, they only want an echo chamber as long as they have an audience to show it off to. I just don’t see any reason to be that audience for them.

Derp’s knee-jerk assumption was that YOU are the bad actor in this scenario, and everyone agreed - right up until you walked into the room, when suddenly they realized they weren’t just talking about someone who couldn’t defend themselves. Then Ghost and Macha did their frantic back-pedaling, and Derp of course ignored the fire he just started.
They’re not there for discussion. They have BANNED everyone who actually wants to discuss things.
