I’ve been playing Cyberpunk 2077 again and gdi I just want my chromed-out hijinks, choom. 🥺
it’s such a rich well for stories about a society on the edge and the battle against nihilistic excess and exploitation. I’d love to see a smaller game that really focuses on a specific group of anti-corporate runner cells, who are trying the line between sticking to their ideals and surviving, while public sentiment and massive companies often dead set against them. players would all belong to these cells so would all be loosely affiliated and expected to work together, but could run their own side shenanigans as well.

@Cobalt UA is my “If I ever actually have time to build a game from scratch, it will be this” game.
Update: I have also just been reminded that it’s in competition with a “LARP-Rules WoD” game.

I usually don’t play comic book games as a rule but a MU* set in the Dispatch universe would be fun.

@Jennkryst you cannot bait me with the idea of a BattleTech MUSH then suddenly waylay me with Exalted! All I want is to take a contract in my MAD-5M against some Capellans and drain two cases of Timbiqui Dark when I get back to the mechbay!
mmmmmmm
Battletech. Last time I did online Battletech was BT3056 (Think it was, it was the big BT Mux) in the mid 90’s. But the idea of incorporating MegaMek is pretty good, I must say.

Exalted Battletech. When your mech is destroyed, you leap out with your sword.

That’s just Warstriders, and I am theoretically here for it. Right now I’m giving ares code funny looks and even pokes a few things, but I can’t figure out how to turn it on for local testing, whee.
Anyway, if I ever did a Battletech MU it would probably be il Clan era, so everyone will hate it.

I would only play Exalted Battletech if I could use Call the Blade to pull my Mech to me in the same fashion that the charm works for weapons. So I hold out my hand and my Mech just Kool-Aid Man crashes through a neighborhood to scoop me up and deposit me in the cockpit.

No. Mech is armor, so you have to use armor-summoning charm, silly.
