I’m so confused abt tortitude. Sif is like absurdly sweet and loving, affectionate with new people, cuddles… she does wiggle a lot especially when cuddling.
She IS very clever and has figured out how to turn the lights on and off.

We got a new surrender of a family (guys, kitten season is starting…) with mom, dad, and three week-old kittens.
Another foster took mom and kittens, but wouldn’t take dad because she didn’t want to risk mom getting pregnant again. (Nursing does not stop a female cat from getting pregnant.)
But guys, this is dad in an isolation cage at the shelter. (Two week quarantine is mandatory even though we are a free range shelter.)
He is SO SAD. The foster has also been having issues with mom being really stressed out and moving the babies into the litterbox. So I talked to husband and we are going to reunify the whole family. Hopefully it lowers the stress for everyone.
I feel bad for the foster, because we get super attached to our babies within the first 24 hours, buy I can’t stand that sweet orange boy being sad like that for even one more day.
(We will be bringing the SWAT team in to be adopted Tuesday, so we will have two rooms with kittens for a few days.)

The Family is reunited and mom was SO HAPPY last night!! Today daddy has asserted some more independence and is only visiting. Regardless, everyone is doing so much better.

Edit: also correction above, the babies are no more than two weeks, probably closer to 7 days because their eyes aren’t open yet.
