@Kestrel Sometimes people come around and understand that they’re being a dick, but too often, I have distanced myself from such people, for you have to know, if that is their SOP, to shit-talk people behind their back, they are doing it to you too. Even if you’re trying to run interference for them.
It sucks. 
Sometimes they’re really good roleplayers, it’s such a loss when there are terrible people behind the characters.
One of my favourites from Tenebrae involved a party running into a few Kytons. One of them attempted to use a fear power on my Goblin, named Murder, a bloodrager. She made her save, and the kyton said, “Oh, this one is small AND stupid.” Well she saw red, and those kytons all died. Still giggle about it to this day.

I have a character who runs a bar, and I agreed to it (three characters in total donated to get the place up and running) simply because it has a lot of potential to generate RP.
Yeah, it can get out of hand, and what do you do when everyone on grid tries to show up?
But so far, it’s been a positive experience.
