On the one (bigger) hand, I am glad I finally have a steady job. On the other, I miss having more free time!

I have reached the stage when I realised I don’t want to be around my SO’s mother. It’s hard to know where to go on from here after having told him.

@Rinel This isn’t advice about what to do. But to be honest, someone /can/ be a part of a minority group and still play a PC from that group offensively.

I genuinely appreciate staff being really understanding with personal fumbles and clarifying things in posts. There are moments I feel guilty and worry I’m wasting people’s time, so it really does put me at ease!

I don’t know this person like at all. But I am haunted by a story I heard about them like actively being malicious about the RL of someone they MUSH hated. Bleh.

Honestly, my biggest peeve is people who make decisions that get their characters in danger and rather than go along with it, they sort of like get frustrated at the consequences they get because “what else was my character going to do? Of course they were going to rage at the super evil and powerful mage! They are a rebel!”

Like the character isn’t real. You make the decisions. Own it.

Pretty sure every institution run by PCs was actively not evil. No matter how corrupt they were before, PCs taking over pretty much scraped a lot of that away. Even the Triarchy, when PCs were made Voice and the Eater was ousted, stopped being apocalyptic and actively fought against some of the big bads.

ETA: Though the Triarchy was still pretty evil in the grand scheme of things.

@Cobalt I feel that way about character descs. I write them but then I see others’ descs and think “why can’t I write like that??” I end up just listing my character’s features in the end and hope to get by.

@dvoraen He did some mad Oblivion magic so he can’t die. Technically a bunch of the fractals can’t die. So as a rule, don’t waste time mourning them!

As far as angle. Primeria turned to the Abyss for help against the war with the dragons because the gods didn’t want to act and empower their reflections. Their reflections didn’t care so much otoh. She got corrupted and died (got murdered). Diamond was mostly just an abyssal mage ruler until an assassination attempt drove him mad and he decided to start chumming up with Obsidian (who was just insane) and went all rar rar Abyss. Did intense Oblivion magic so he could never die.

@Pavel I was like “oh I wonder what happened” and then saw him lash out on the chat backlog and was like “oh he’s one of those”.

@Duke-Whisky That mirrorborn was actually 1/13 of Diamond. Each ring represented a facet (haha) of Diamond, so this one was Diamond’s Callous Indifference To All Other Life. Sorry Templars.

Tehom is basically the Abyss. Much like Aion is the Dream.
