Star Wars Age of Alliances: Hadrix and Cujo
-
I still have no idea what ‘mando pizza’ is, but that’s probably for the best.
I like to remain unburdened by knowledge of star war
-
I tried to play AoA for a friend I to bits. He even super babied me though CG. However, kept running into difficulties to getting into the game. Not to mention the age jump thing just turned me completely off. It doesn’t seem like something players were calling for. Sometimes time skips work if it is what is being called for.
PS. He babied me through CG because I was joining for him/know like nothing about Star Wars. I only know that one Darth Vadder line.
-
I’m just bummed the person named Trashcan turned out to be a villain.
-
@shit-piss-love oh man, where the fuck did these go?? i just now realized they’re gone and i used to love them. what happened? why didn’t i notice when they left?
someone play mad world, but only the gary jules version, thanks.

I assume Mando Pizza is a play on ‘even when Pizza/Sex/Mandalorians are bad, it’s still good’ but I dunno. I do know they used to be pretty omgwtfbbq in love with the idea of how amazing Boba Fett is, so like… already a turn off.

@Jennkryst That’s the dude who fell into the giant sand mouth, right?
-
@Sammich that was not a mouth. it was a butthole with teeth.

After being beaten in combat by a blind flailing man, yes.
-
@SqeakyClean This confirms a LOT of things I’ve suspected for some time now.
And I can confirm that the playerbase emphatically did not want the time skip; that was a staff thing all the way, and Cujo admitted that he had been steering the metaplot of the game toward the Sith winning for a good while before deciding to announce the time skip. The playerbase was not even asked if they wanted this; they were just told ‘this will happen, and unless you figure out a way to opt out, you are aging 15 years’ (BTW, it’s a lot harder to opt out than go with the flow). And while noises are being made about the Sith Empire faction ultimately losing, the faction is recruiting heavily, much like the First Order back before that faction was made NPC. So I’m of the opinion that even if the Sith Empire loses, it will be a very long time coming, and even then I’m sure Aryn will fight it every step of the way.
Just one more chapter in the long-running ‘Imps win, LOL,’ side of Star Wars.
-
@Jennkryst It should be noted that most of the original Koras used to be First Order PCs, who started chargen with the best stats and gear on the game. Except possibly for Sumi Kora, who is head of the Bounty Hunters’ Guild and built to a standard at least equal to the First Order PCs, none of the Koras started life as Mandalorians; they were all First Order PCs who somehow adopted the Mandalorian way of life after the First Order ceased to be a PC faction, so they didn’t have to retire their overbuilt PCs, or go totally Civilian.
It’s probably no coincidence that Clan Kora first popped up within a month of ‘The Mandalorian’ first airing.

Actually another reason I want High Republic era. Because like… it is the slow slide towards Fascism, because we know Sheev will eventually BECOME THE SENATE. But it’s probably beyond the lifespan of the game.
edit because spelling is hard

@Jennkryst Didn’t he have a jetpack, too?
Jetpacks are cool I guess, but less cool than laser swords.

To be clear, Trashcan speaks his mind and it’s one of the things I appreciate about him. He is also a phenomenal staffer and player who put a great deal of work into creating content - ESPECIALLY content geared towards new players. Definitely not the villain - at least not for this story lol
-
i will say, i am much less bothered by ‘game staff decide to do a large time skip without the approval of the game players’ as i am about anything else. like, yeah, they are staff. they kind of get to make those decisions if they want to reorient plot or whatever.
i mean, feel free to bitch as you want, fr fr. i’m just saying this from my position as the minority that cheers for the idea of arx time skip, too.

Yes. Han blindly fails and spanks Boba Fett into flying away.
You can see him haplessly flying in the background during the infamous ‘force kick’ clip
And then he crashes into a wall and falls into the Sarlacc pit.
But Vader told him not to disintegrate somebody, so everyone is obsessed.
-
That’s how Hadrix looks right now…

this is so patently false
The Rocketeer > star wars
-
@hellfrog Oh I don’t mean Star Wars as a whole. Literally just laser swords specifically. The rest of Star Wars is varying degrees of beans.
Though I have no idea what The Rocketeer is so maybe that’s part of the problem?

Easily one of the best movies Disney ever made and like so few people remember it, which shocks me. IT’S SO GOOD
-
@Sammich The Rocketeer was a relatively short-lived comic book series that can be had in graphic novel format. It was also a movie back in the 1990’s. Both are worth checking out.
