The eyes let you know that even if they aren’t in the same litter they are for sure related.

So our dog, who has a very sensitive stomach, has been rather rude the last few days. And when I say rather rude, I mean the farts have been so frequent and so rank that we’ve had candles burning and the windows open in January.

Well, earlier tonight our neighbor called me to ask if we could smell natural gas in our house, which we could not. PGW was called and an emergency technician was sent out with a meter to check both of our houses to identify where the leak could be coming from, given that the neighbor said he and his wife could smell it intermittently from the area around our shared wall, right around where the kitchens/livingrooms are in both our houses.

After checking multiple levels of both residences with his equipment, the tech couldn’t find anything. At all.

I feel like there’s a non-zero chance that the local gas company was called to check for an emergency gas leak that was coming from our dog’s butt and seeping into the house next door.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this about the adorable kitten pictures:

                  EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

                  melt

@Wizz @junipersky and others, please do not stop with the pictures. I can’t have pets where I live so this helps me live vicariously as a cat dad and get my endorphins from adorable situations.

Pretty sure our mama cat Cleome is in heat. This means she is very. Very. VERY loud.

Husband keeps calling upstairs, “Be quiet you whore!” And I find it funny every time. X.x

Thought we could all do with some more cats. Here’s Seymour and Boleyn once more.

@Whisky I love the coloring of your cats. But more importantly, are they lap kitties? Do they cuddle?

@dvoraen - Aww thanks! Yeah they lucked out getting this perfect mix of their mother and father.

They are very needy at times, the bigger one in the white chair (Seymour) is constantly at my side. The white chair is directly next to my computer so she can still get my attention. Boleyn is less so, she has her moments. When I got back yesterday she wanted nothing but standing up cuddles on my shoulder.

Ha! Mine doesn’t settle across on it. She wants to hug and rest her paws there for HOURS. It is lovely but I also need my space 😄

The kittens arebig enough to escape over the baby gate across their door. With 7 of them charging it at once with just one of me to stop them it is inevitable that some will make it out.

Today little baby Columbine managed it. Since I had the food platter in hand I didn’t immediately try to retrieve her. Instead I got the other 6 settled eating, scooped the boxes, and put the dirty platter away.

By this time she realized she done messed up. Mama and Rose are in their own room with the door closed, and all 3 of my cats were downstairs with their own breakfast. She was ALONE AND THIS WAS NOT OKAY. IT WAS SCARY.

She started to cry and so I followed the sound to her. The second she saw me she RACED to my hands and didn’t fight as I scooped her up (she doesn’t normally like being picked up) and carried her back to her brothers.

                                        Will she learn from this?

                                        Probably not.

Been trying for the better half of an hour to work. Boleyn is being extra needy today and I don’t know why which leaves me VERY suspicious.
