@Rowan As far as I know Apostate is still staff just stepped back into coding and place Hejra (right spelling?) as theme lead. Tehom, semi- retired from staff. I forget exactly on that part.

Folks. Gonna be real with you.
I’ve had a hell of a good time RPing with you all, first as a player, then staff. I know this is going to upset some people, some people are going to be really disappointed, but I hope that doesn’t linger too much, or too long. We’ve had a good run. This decision was a rough one, but ultimately the best: we can’t keep this going, so we’re going to play her out in style. I’m looking forward to the next few months, however short they are. For all those folks still rolling on the game, I look forward to seeing you to the end. For all those folks who left in good standing and want to come back for the finale, you’re welcome to do so. For all those folks hanging around who left but won’t be returning, I just want to say: it’s been fun, and it’s been a pleasure.
I’m not going anywhere, though. Unlike most media properties, when it comes to Arx, I have hopes for the sequel.
See you on the crazy side.

I thought about going back but end of the day I came to the same conclusion I did a while ago: I left my most active period on Arx on a really good note and that’s the experience I want as my strongest memory of the game. It’s cool to see a chapter of it get a conclusion, though, a lot of MUs don’t, and I’ll be interested to see how it ties it up.

In all seriousness; I’ve had some of the most creatively fulfilling times of my life on Arx and met a lot of fantastic people who I hope to be friends with for a long time yet.
I’m really glad I could take the plunge with this as my first MU* experience. I wish I hadn’t been floundering these past few months to the point that I’ve completely lost the plot (HA) but I’m still excited to see where the end of all roads take us.
Looking forward to dipping into the sequel when the day comes, I know a time skip has been chatted about for ages now and seeing it in action has me plenty hyped already.

I have so many positive feels about Norwood’s end. I’m really happy now it wasn’t RPed out, because I’m not sure it could have been done as gracefully as the action result came out.
Norwood was such a big part of my soul that even after I came to admit I didn’t have room to actively RP any more, I couldn’t let him go. I would sign on every few days to check on him.

Hello! Just dropping in to say I had a really fabulous time at the battle scene today. Normally events of that caliber give me a lot of anxiety, but everything about it was well-paced and very easy to keep up with, and I was able to relax into it and just enjoy the rp. Congrats to everyone who participated, and thank you @apos

I had a blast this whole week with the camp RP. Made a lot of great friends. Then yeah the event was great and well run! Super happy about it all.

With the current game about to be brought to a point where staff conclude the current story and withdraw from active staffing, was a rough timeframe given for when the new iteration of Arx might land?
I’ve been spotty and don’t hang out on social platforms outside of the game, so could easily have missed any announcements.

I don’t play on Arx so I’m not sure if anything different has been stated on the game itself but this is from this post on the Arx game ad thread:
Come Feb 1st, requests turn off, and that’ll be it for the current characters canonical story save for one shots I or others might GM to test systems. And then, a bit down the road, Arx relaunches as a very different game, which I am extremely excited about. But just not yet. Time to go all in on a story first.

@Raeras Yes. Just wondering how long ‘a bit down the road’ might be as that was the only reference I’ve seen. Months or years. Its been a hell of a ride nevertheless.
