I promise, Devrex, I would also like people to stop going over there to name call. If you think that’s what I was doing when I posted for a while-- I wasn’t. Give me some good faith. I was pointing out one thing that I thought was unfair and egregious.
But basically, both boards are doing the same thing at this point. Vague ‘look at them, eating crackers!’ posts, because honestly, we are still one community and this schism is silly and makes me sad.
so us posting on here about you guys posting about us on there-- yeah, that’s gonna happen. I wish people would stop posting on there, though, too.
but, i didn’t go post because i was ‘bored’. i posted because i really thought my point could be acknowledged about how stupid Narson’s banning was, but scar getting unbanned, etc, and how arbitrary this shit was.

i feel like trying to language police a hobby full of erotic writers and social outcasts is, uh, a choice.
I’m genuinely baffled that sarcasm keeps getting tossed into those lists, but to each their own.
(I am definitely worth being culled from the community on that metric though, my blood sarcasm level is at least 0.23 percent, I’m dying of sarcasm poisoning, it’s very sad)

There’s a reminder here that a lot of people have thinner skin than I do. It’s definitely a good thing to be reminded of, right? It doesn’t make them a terrible person or anything – my own mother can’t really handle foul language because it triggers a trauma response from experiences with my father, I get that.
Still, I’m not sure trying to force that change on a whole community of the sorts of people who gladly flout social norms is the right play.
ETA: flout, not flaunt. my eternal word nemesis.

I am mildly curious to what Meg said to cause them to decide she was just going to make trouble. Then, I realized that is the go-to response they have for any of the ‘bad actors’ that are part of BMD. So, anything most anyone here says on MSB is out to cause trouble over, you know, trying to genuinely make peace or understand.
