Logging off in the middle of a conversation to be sure your character gets the last word.
Don’t do that.
Posting a three paragraph rant yelling at someone and then immediately running out of the room. Why do people do this?

@Juniper Idk, but it’s nice of them to let you know you shouldn’t play with them again!

Agreed.
It’s really funny though - in real life nobody would ever just stand there and listen politely while you go on your ten minute bitching monologue. What kind of exotic paralysis is keeping my character from interrupting or walking away?
This isn’t how conversations work, people!

Naps are good. Or hey, have these people tried drugs??
Although from the sounds of the story-- yes.

@ten i don’t really like pizza that much, tbh. i’m surprised i have not been kicked out of chicago(land) yet.
every time i mention it, my friends from chicago get mortally offended.
-
@Meg why? their pizza is the worst pizza
-
Yeah, because it’s not pizza. It’s soup in a bread bowl.
-
Watching people yeet themselves into the sun. It’s awkward for all of us.
-
-
help game staff will not explain sexism or racism to me this is a real problem i am having
-
I’m certain that there are staffers out there who are a ton better than me, but honestly in all these years of playing and slightly less in staffing…
If someone repeatedly can’t come up with nonproblematic concepts that demonstrate a pattern of not showing good judgement as far as they might fit in, no matter how much time I invested in explaining/handholding/helping, ect–it was never ever worth my time. Because the minute they hit the grid, all of the characteristics they’d showed in the CG process (deliberate or otherwise cluelessness, fixation on certain problematic themes, demanding of special attention, ect) only increased once they hit the grid. And back in those days there was kind of an attitude of well once you approved them you shouldn’t take it back.
So yeah, if someone can’t even get through cg without flailing on channels, aggressively confronting staff on channels, then yeah. I mean even if they’ve made it through CG by some miracle and start after. Just boot. If you are unhappy even before you start, it’s not going to improve if you don’t even have that when you’re still in the honeymoon stage!

no lie – I was watching that cringefest from afar and judging, hard.

I don’t put a lot of stock in apps as an indicator of quality, but what I do find they’re good for is flagging issues a player’s going to have with theme or general ‘how they’ll relate to other PCs/staff’ in a way it’s much easier to course-correct pre-approval than post. It also feels a lot more painless to tell someone they aren’t a good fit for a game upfront than to let it become an issue later.

In other words

A new peeve of mine is working second shift, having a slow workday, but not so slow as to really allow myself time to find a new place to look at to play.
I’m oddly missing roster games now.
No thoughts, only app.

Ignoring someone’s poses for three or five rounds, then responding to them all in one pose and then running out of the room. The response invariably involves smart-alec snappy-comebacks that make you look cool until/unless you hang around long enough for the person to make a snappy comeback that points out how stupid yours was. That’s why people do it.
