RE: MU* Wishlists
@Pyrephox said in MU* Wishlists:
Give me dark cults, and covens of psychics trying to fight back against them with their small magics. Corrupt cops who’ve signed deals with Huntsmen to capture Lost. All of that.
I have zero familiarity with the source, but this sounds very interesting!

RE: Learning to Code - A Sprite Break
@catzilla Looking at this with otherwise fresh eyes, I think you have a typo: “float: left !imporant”

RE: Eleret's Playlist
@Nilli I have copies of the trees myself, which I think are mostly complete. I read Faida and Jaseti as second cousins on the Akeeto tree, and then more distantly related on the Tau tree. It looks like they were both growing up in Kimondo at the same time, but all the logs I’ve got list Faida as in the room but not online, so we may not have RPed together (on those characters). Jaseti did get the short end of the stick activity-wise during her younger period…

Eleret's Playlist
Been lurking a while, figure I should get around to hanging up some name tags…
Current:
[none]Historical (2001-2010 or so):
Games are MUCKs if not otherwise noted.
Probably most who remember me will recognize one of my coder bits:
Aria (Sunrise)
Asrohc (various TLK/wildlife themes)
Jewel (Academy X/Marvel/MM:Destinies)
Rose (String Theory MUX)Then, the games and characters that stand out most in my memory (and hence likely anyone else’s) were:
Sunrise: Aria, Indira, Jaseti, Khamsin, Mahani, Neyadhi, Ta’akha, Tirah
Academy X/Marvel/MM:D: Aerin, Karen, Sarah, Tamara, Willow
Bleaker: Ashe, Darla, Twila, Umbra
Devil’s Orchard: Akita, KhyberBanyan Tree MUX: Chelsea
Heroes MUSH: Evelyn, Tamara
Stargate: Atlantis MUSH: Aletheia, Kirian
String Theory MUX: April, Grace, Hana, Laura, Tamara -
RE: Nilli's Playlist
@Nilli I suspect you were after my heyday on Sunrise, but I can’t say for sure if we did or didn’t cross paths. I was Aria there (aka the coder), and a number of other characters, of which I think Indira, Jaseti, Neyadhi, Mahani, Ta’akha, Tirah, and Khamsin had the most playtime.

RE: Dead MU*s you remember fondly
@Wizz said in Dead MU*s you remember fondly:
Banyan Tree and its successor, both Buffy games that only ever had like twenty people at one time.
Banyan Tree is definitely on the list for me.
Also Bleaker and Devil’s Orchard, speaking of tiny little niche MUCKs.

RE: Recipes!
@TNP Looks pretty similar to Norwegian/Swedish apple pie (or eplepai), with more eggs.
Another lower-carb use is apple curd, e.g.:
2.2 lbs apples
2 T lemon juice
2 T water
3/4 c brown sugar (or as preferred)
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 stick butter, cubed
1 t cinnamonSimmer apples, lemon juice, and water until soft enough to mash/blend. Then mash/blend.
Whisk together sugar & eggs; whisk mixture into the apples; follow with the butter & cinnamon. Cook on medium-low until thickened, stirring frequently.
Chill before serving. Store in fridge. Can be frozen.
