My #1 actual most embarrassing thing is making a joke on a channel that falls flat and not only does nobody laugh, but everybody goes quiet until long enough has passed that somebody else can start a new conversation.
And then I don’t know if they didn’t know I was joking or if it was just that bad.

Am I a narcissist if I just assumed that everyone was laughing too much or too in awe of my joke to respond???
And then because they couldn’t follow up, they ended up starting a new conversation.

This is how I will approach every socially awkward situation. I’m just too amazing for anyone to voluntarily speak first after me.
