i would like to formally invite Runescryer to continue any discussion of why it’s better to not say the reason why some bans continue to exist because some people won’t trust them but instead say nothing which-- people don’t trust, here where people that are banned can actually participate.

I stopped giving any thought to MSB besides when someone mentions it and the once in a while curious if they are actually following their own rules. So far, it doesn’t seem like it. The stuff with mojomojo was never addressed and when… Solstice (I think it was) questioned what was safe to post and expressed not understanding, Derp basically accused of shit-stirring when nothing about the phrasing indicated that. The exact same thing he did to Sunny when it was uncalled for.
If they didn’t make a big hub-bub about all the people who did similar just a few days before mojobo did a person attack, it wouldn’t bother me so much. Especially since they made quite a big deal about ‘no personal attacks’ and made the responses very public.
If even slightly questioning the ‘staff’ at MSB is grounds for accusing of trying to make trouble is going to be the norm, I don’t foresee returning, at all. This is what basically killed my mild desires to potentially return to MSB because it /was/ starting to seem like they were going to let bygones be bygones and follow their own rules.

Just a small extra… Runescape seems to be the only one who hasn’t decided anything that is against staff is intended to cause trouble (Not counting the ones that I haven’t seen post much). Runescape would be the only one, except maybe Lorethio (or however it is spelt. I never remember spellings), I’d be willing to talk with about my concerns. So far, everyone else it would just feel like they are going to decide I need to be banned or I am just trying to cause trouble.

You’re probably right; I guess I just don’t understand why you’re still banned if that’s not it. I’m still struggling to understand how any of this is conscionable.

I mostly just find it frustrating that they continue to insult us.
The accusations are false. The idea that Solstice and Selira and Meg are mean awful bullies conspiring to destroy their fun is ludicrous.
And it’s exhausting that they do this while framing themselves as being kinder and gentler.

To me it’s coming off that they are the ones trying to keep the drama going. Except, perhaps, in DMs or something no one here was even talking about MSB anymore until they started getting all fussed and such.

What amuses me is I consider my ban, and the other ‘fuck you’ person ban, the only ones of the first batch that’re really defensible because, oh gosh, our intentions were clear. And OK! I’ve never been banned from anything in my life and this is weirdly giving me very deferred pre-teen rebellion vibes without having to shoplift a tube of lipgloss. Maybe other people have way more awful DMs but mostly this latest thing feels like ‘raise a specter without actually owning what you are accusing anyone of’. So, OK, my ‘this is bad’ and ‘George Orwell quote’ DMs are public record now and I can be OK with things.I want something else to get me through this

It is what it is but it feels incredibly personal at this point that they are screenshotting my words. I didn’t DM anyone about this situation and have never bullied or harassed anyone thru DMs.
But if they are avoiding explaining bans based on the “privacy” of those involved, they have my permission to release their discussions about me. It doesn’t matter tho cuz I stand by what I said anyway.

@Third-Eye ok but in a forum where there are no rules against cussing, how is ‘fuck you’ that much more over the line than ‘you’re unhinged’? they are both really clear in their intentions.

@Meg I don’t think they would have cared who it was. Or if anyone was mentioned. They seem like they would just bring up how X person that is banned did this ‘horrible’ thing in the heat of the moment.

IDK, I am amused swearing in the Hogpit is shocking, but the one reprimand I ever got in a workplace was because, back in my newspaper days, the life-style columnist who I sat across from and I apparently got a lot more blue than we realized and offended the nice letters to the editor lady, so this is a criticism of me I will own. -
Just for the record I think I had two DM conversations on MSB, none recently. I didn’t DM Gany or anyone. I remain banned for asking why Arkandel wasn’t banned for posting after the stop while Snackness and others were. Others who directly attacked Gany got unbanned, and I think Derp confirmed by stating process when asked for reason.
It was pure popularity. So they banned those who those with power did not like. That was the ultimate criteria for the ban becoming permanent from what I can tell. And yet they keep insinuating I’m the bully? How quirky they are.
Oh wait sorry, also terrorists. Terror bullies.

I admire those of you that are trying to make them understand how they look like fools, but I am afraid that you are probably wasting your time. They like the way things are. They have no one there to really hold them accountable because those that do are just big old bullies that dogpile them. Because it’s not like they aren’t engaging in that themselves at this point.

The best thing that can be done at this point is to let them ultimately deal with the consequences of their own actions.
