@Whisky I love the coloring of your cats. But more importantly, are they lap kitties? Do they cuddle?
-
@dvoraen - Aww thanks! Yeah they lucked out getting this perfect mix of their mother and father.
They are very needy at times, the bigger one in the white chair (Seymour) is constantly at my side. The white chair is directly next to my computer so she can still get my attention. Boleyn is less so, she has her moments. When I got back yesterday she wanted nothing but standing up cuddles on my shoulder.
-
@Whisky You and @Nynrose have something in common: shoulder kitties!
-
Ha! Mine doesn’t settle across on it. She wants to hug and rest her paws there for HOURS. It is lovely but I also need my space
-
@Whisky I forgot to say thank you but thank you so much
-
@Sammich You’ve very welcome! I take so many photos of these two so can always help
-
@Whisky I. Love. Those. NAMES!

Aww, I’ll let them know and give them extra treats

The kittens arebig enough to escape over the baby gate across their door. With 7 of them charging it at once with just one of me to stop them it is inevitable that some will make it out.
Today little baby Columbine managed it. Since I had the food platter in hand I didn’t immediately try to retrieve her. Instead I got the other 6 settled eating, scooped the boxes, and put the dirty platter away.
By this time she realized she done messed up. Mama and Rose are in their own room with the door closed, and all 3 of my cats were downstairs with their own breakfast. She was ALONE AND THIS WAS NOT OKAY. IT WAS SCARY.
She started to cry and so I followed the sound to her. The second she saw me she RACED to my hands and didn’t fight as I scooped her up (she doesn’t normally like being picked up) and carried her back to her brothers.
Will she learn from this?
Probably not.

Been trying for the better half of an hour to work. Boleyn is being extra needy today and I don’t know why which leaves me VERY suspicious.
-
How my dog begs for treats. Infuriatingly adorable, we can’t say no!
-
@Cornpopped omg he’s like a little yeti beggar
-
@Cornpopped what a cutie! FANG
-
@Cornpopped THAT FACE

Baby Clover <
All of them + mama got fixed today. They came home super snuggly. Especially the little girl, Columbine. Spay is so much harder on their bodies than neuter is.
-
@junipersky Awwwww, thems needin much snuggins
-
My new foster family is adorable. 2 orange (1 male, 1 female), 2 tortoiseshell, and their DAD. Mom was too skittish and refused to be caught. If they do catch her they will likely spay and release.
We call them the SWAT team.
Commander
Adorable. He is probably less than two years old (no tabby cheeks from testosterone) and had to be someone’s pet at some point because he is so docile and calm.
Sierra
Sweet, but rather shy. She enjoys playing but is spooked easily.
Whiskey
All purrs and action, no brain. He lives up to the orange cat stereotype.
Alpha
Her name is earned, she is OPINIONATED. She is allowed to be in our space when she chooses to be, including for sleeps, but God forbid if we go into HERS. She will smack!
Tango
She is a good balance between Whiskey and Alpha. She loves to get petted and loved, but looks before she throws herself into something. She got all the brains Whiskey didn’t.
Cutest pair: Sierra and Commander. They adore one another and cuddle constantly. If they stay this close after spay and neuter, we are going to have to get creative for how they can stay together in the shelter. Sierra is too little for the adult areas, and Commander is too sweet and big for our kitten room. (I think our teenage kittens will bully him.)

one of my little idiots. my swaggletooth underbite champion. I’d murder for her, I wouldn’t even hesitate.
-
One of these dogs has made a huge mistake.
-
@helvetica It’s the one smiling. They’re proud of what they did. And they’ll do it again.
