i think the stupidest part of all this is to post and be like ‘yeah, i acknowledge the game has problems, but i’m gonna still play’.

at that point, like, lol, just stay quiet? don’t say anything. there was no reason to make an announcement.

and you’ve kinda double-shot yourself in the foot by making the announcement if you do end up running into issues where sex-pests/creepers/three dicks in a trenchcoat ruin your funtime on this game and then you have to quit for real. cause like, how are you going to come back here and get sympathy then?

i guess you don’t HAVE to do that if that happens, but, yknow. you could have just not posted that you were going to stay.

“I know it’s crooked but it’s the only game in town.”

Some folks are legit institutionalized. Speaking of my personal journey, internalizing the reality that I don’t have to MUSH or RP changed my life for the better. I don’t have to pick the least painful version of always-painful options, I can just do other things for a while, maybe for good; things that bring joy without compromise.

Got what you wanted, lost what you had.

Okay. So, give me a place to play. Somewhere fairly busy, without draconian standards of what you can or cannot pose, where I can be a socialite without running scenes or getting anything approved.

          Do you have that?

Because weirdly enough, I don’t get harassed on AoA. Every time someone got a little too weird, I’ve asked them to stop and they did. Twice, before you ask. And I’ve never had someone go out of their way to make my life miserable, which did happen on Arx and a couple superhero MUs.

When I say I can just ignore Cujo and little changes for my gaming experience, I mean it. So what do you want me to do, exactly? Quit to make a pointless statement?

This is reminding me of those wives on Tiktok that complain about their terrible husbands.

“Sure, my husband let my kids sit in filth and didn’t tidy up the house at all when I went away for the weekend and also destroyed all my makeup when they were mad a few times… BUT YOU CAN’T JUDGE OUR LIFE FROM 30 SECONDS ON TIKTOK!” Then defend their terrible spouse like their life depends on it.

Just make your own game with your friends who aren’t sex pests or abuse enablers and have fun with that.

That’s the neat part, you won’t be. You’re extremely chatty and candid in this thread and they know that, and the best PR that they have right now is for you to remain unharassed and continue doing what you’re doing. There’s too much risk that you’ll change your tune and denounce AoA if Hadrix or any of the million other sex pests decides they no longer like taking “no” for an answer.

Side note: I did beseech you to have a great time on AoA last year, and it looks like you have, but “it didn’t happen to me so it’s not a problem” is not a good look. The protection given to you is not given to others.

@Hobbie It isn’t granted to her, either. The crap Cujo has said about her on Admin was just as bad as every other player he’s bitched about.

The only reason I’ve not stated exactly what he’s said is because I don’t want to hurt people’s feelings.

But, Roan. Honey. Please. I’m begging you to find something else. Somewhere else. Our group has moved on to our own things where we play games, watch videos, do tabletop over the internet.

If it has to be RP, there are Discord channels dedicated to RP of all kinds. This is what the kids are doing these days. Reach out to your friends and build a private server if you want. There are better options.

You /are not safe there/ and you are not spared.

                  No one is.

                      Ouch. This one hurt.

And @DapperPenguin , all right. It will suck, but all right. I know what happened to you and Ben is just waiting to happen to me, the moment I try to be relevant in the plot again.

Maybe this is the perfect time to go anyway, when I’m not invested.

@Meg I’ve never once asked for sympathy? I’ve just been reporting my findings along this journey, sheesh.

I have no interest in running a game. I just like being a player who can dip in and out as the mood strikes.

I almost hesitate to say this, and it’s not aimed at specific people, but it’s fact that there is a heavy Shang/Pen element to the occasional influxes that keep boosting AoA and the tolerance for sexual harassment is almost certainly higher within the “new community”.

The community that built back up on AoA in 2017-2018 was not largely drawn from sex mushes. There’s a reason so many people left in 2023, many of whom likely had not personally experienced harassment. The old community and new community have very different characteristics.

Anyways. It’s a chill place, but the admins have very busy lives. But if someone wanted to show up and run their own stories - as long as it makes sense for the time period (9BBY) it would be extremely welcome.

Considering all the very valid criticism of this game, including by me, this is the way.

Player Removal Mar 05 2026 Cujo

Earlier this evening, some clear evidence of heinous behavior came across my desk, and after reviewing it, I had to confront the player in-question, and ask them to log out and not return. The player of Aster Vade and Sora Dethril has been removed from the grid, and is not welcome to return to this MUSH.

This is in regards to inappropriate content related to under age characters, in this case NPCs, since we do not allow under 18 PCs to be played here.

I encourage everyone to remember the true purpose of this game is to enjoy Star Wars RP, and although adult content is not, by itself, an immediate ban offense from this game, so long as it is kept in private between consenting adults, there are still limits to what will be permitted, and what is not.

Any content of a sexual nature, related to under age characters is an immediate removal from the game.

Staff is here to help everyone have a wonderful time in a galaxy far far away, and please remember that you can always come to us, if you need help with issues like this, or others similar to it.

Player Removal pt 2 Mar 05 2026 Cujo

                                    Hey, all.

This is a continuation of the previous Player Removal situation.

Based on additional information and evidence provided to us, we found that the second participant in the same inappropriate RP, participated willingly, until both parties involved had a falling out. Once the falling out occurred, one participant tried to cover up their involvement, and get the other person banned alone. this is very bad behavior, on top of already bad behavior. They have been asked to leave the game too.

Their characters included: Vana Ni | Ashlie Starmid | Kara | Katrina | Maya | shrarayr

This player is not welcome back, and should you come across them attempting to sneak back in, please inform staff

We greatly appreciate all evidence of bad behavior turned in to staff, and encourage the community helping to police the actions happening around the game. Please never fear submitting +rquests for help, or to provide the administration with helpful information on such matters. Evidence of wrong-doings has to be submitted via +requests, for our records keeping, which allows us to track and build a case of solid, reference capable, proof. We encourage everyone to come to staff in pages too, but we will always then ask you to submit a +request to give us the officially documented record of the pressing matter. We are here to help make the place safer and more fun.

Thank you all, and game on!

sharayr always gave me a really weird vibe. Never RP’d with the other guy though.

This seems like one of those ‘broken clock is right twice a day’ moments.

a broken clock that says even a broken clock is right twice a day ..

sounds like the clock was right dozens and dozens of times, but those clocks were maybe just female clocks being dramatic and jealous, and thus this time was a Real Shock
