Upvoting this to say ‘I feel you’ feels so wrong on this but…

@Snackness I feel you. I don’t know where you’re at in the world but speak with your pharmacist; they might be able to provide you with some emergency pills to prevent you having to go without in the interim because even a couple of days of drop-off can definitely be harsh.

If you’ve got sick days I reckon 'take ‘em’, knock at least one concern off your plate in the short term to give yourself one less thing playing pile on. Be kind to yourself. ❤

This for sure if you can manage it.

Sincere thank you’s to everyone who reached out, responded, upvoted, etc. I really suck at admitting when I don’t got this, and it just…y’all are great. You helped me a lot.

I’m currently waiting for my seratonin reuptake to be inhibited (got my meds) and I got a timely reminder from my PCP that I suffer from chronic pain which we need to work on (one grows accustomed) so hopefully I’ll be feeling more like myself within a couple of days. Again, thank you. It means more than I can say.

The board just reminded me to post this:

Please promise me you won’t buy your kids the school supplies that have the pop sockets all over them.

They put them on //everything//now and I had a literal nightmare that included them.

Don’t get me wrong! I have a very cute dolphin pop it in my fidget box for babies who need it*. Great tools.

THEY DO NOT NEED TO BE ON RULERS AND PENCIL BOXES AND PENCILS/PENS.

                              deep breath

                              • I have strict rules with my fidget box. 1. Only one fidget at a time. 2. Fidget must remain under the level of the desk/out of sight of the person using it. 3. You drop/throw it? You have to wait till a transition to pick it up. 4. Fidget can only be in your non-writing hand.

The only kind of rulers that are a fashion statement are the snap bracelets that look like rulers.

It’s a fashion item like the PeeChees were a fashion item like the covers for your textbook were a fashion item. As in ‘self-expression’, rather than ‘clothing’. The folders with the bright colors and cartoons on them, the pencil cases with cartoon characters, etc – all of these are fashion items.

See, I had none of those things growing up. Brown wooden ruler, or clear plastic when I was older, brown paper and clear contact over my notebooks, plain white or blue folders for book storage…

It might be a girl thing, an American thing (am I right in inferring you’re pretty far east of Murica based on some stuff you’ve said about the time where you are?), or both.

I 'member 90s snap bracelets and 100% accidentally cut myself using them on more than one occasion.
