FWIW I got the game back up today. Thank you to Tat and Faraday (who I am not tagging so they don’t have to ride this roller coaster) for helping me figure out how to do that.

But I’m sure that Derp will find a way to frantically backpedal now that he realizes the person he called out is still there. That seems to be what they’re all doing now that Cobalt weighed in - suddenly no one was attacking her!!

In your position, I honestly would have called it, given that you were already planning on closing. It was really good on you (and those who helped you!) to put in the work of figuring out the errors (which I hear were very strange ones?) to let the remaining playerbase get their closure scenes and whatnot.

Wow, I just read the thread on MSB, because unlike Macha I don’t call it the ‘other Forum’ because I’m not a gigantic coward.

She is coping and seething hard and of course Hella(read VulgarKitten, another winner of the human race)would jump at the opportunity to get the chance to encourage their victim complexes together.

I mean did anyone actually expect anything else? Other than Ghost and Derp patting them on the heads and saying how it wasn’t actually ‘that bad’ and how terrible they’re being treated by big bad BND.

Jesus, part of me used to be kind of pleased when Ghost showed his ass in a ‘vindication of long-held opinion’ kind of way, but now it’s just gross and depressing.

@BloodAngel I really wish I hadn’t read that thread. Derp’s behavior falls within my threshold of being able to respond to it with detached albeit bitter irony; but Ghost has made me so mad I can’t even be sarcastic. I’d say “kiss my ass” but that would make my ass feel dirty.

@CuriousGamer Shockingly, it is possible for multiple people to behave badly at the same time! Who knew. Two people behaved badly, and two people ended up banned from a game.

Might be more apt for this thread, though.

Yeah, the thing that these people don’t seem to understand is that it doesn’t matter who you are doing it to, but what you are doing.

It is actually pretty regularly occurring that people will be particularly toxic to people that are already toxic themselves, or ill-liked in the community for their own behaviors, etc.

I think it’s pretty telling when people make this assumption that only ‘perfect’ people can be victims. Being a victim doesn’t mean you cannot be an abuser. Being an abuser doesn’t mean you can’t be a victim.
