WILD ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS

@lordbelh said in WILD ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS: Whales pass through the sound between my island and the mainland. I barely caught one on film from my terrace. Checked it afterwards, so pleased with myself, and it’s basically a black blotch briefly breaking the water. I love this!

@lordbelh said in WILD ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS: A relatable picture of me poking my head out of the covers in the morning.

DID SOMEONE SAY WHALES When I lived in Florida I’d have to cross a bridge across a bay to work and occasionally I would see dolphins. I couldn’t take pictures because I was driving very fast with traffic HOWEVER I have recreated the experience to fully immerse you.
-
@Yam I’M IMMERSED. I CAN SMELL THE FRESH SEA AIR.
-
@Yam pls doodle illustrate your daily life and sell it as a book so I can buy it

My dog Braum certain he saved me from imminent death this morning at the hands of a deer.
-
@Apos Good boy Braum. Many ear strokes.
-
@Apos tell me how you acquired a pet cloud
-
 That’s not a cloud. It’s a polar bear.
-
Am I the only one worried about why the deer had hands. Braum knew some shit was up.

@Kestrel Fuck those pink sheep, man.

I SAW A TURKEY VULTURE this is really exciting to me because vultures are not REMOTELY common around here and I have never seen one in my 30+ years living in the area ah;hghgggg
-
@tsar GRATS ON YOUR TURKEY VULTURE SIGHTING. I still get excited when I see regular wild turkeys around here.

There were three ravens in my yard when I went out to the mailbox today. No idea what they were doing, and they flew off before I could even get my phone, but I was shocked to see these animals I’d only ever seen in photos before. I always thought ravens were small, but these things were each the size of a football before they even opened their wings.
-
 @GF They were being unkind.
-
This is a pretty tame wild animal encounter but I’m gradually rescuing pictures from Photobucket and found my trip to the Petrified Forest from a few years back, where I met this handsome creature.
The pics don’t convey how BIG ravens are in a way I was not prepared for, but it was a kindly raven. It was clearly used to people and I think was angling for me to feed it. It had a business.
