@Solstice Is it not on YouTube anymore?
-
3 Body Problem on Netflix is very good, and weaves together plots from the three books in the series that don’t mix terribly well because of cryo sleep reasons, and sure they characters they are based on might not have known eachother, but this helps to make the story more character driven than just ‘stuff happens’.
Anyways, go watch it, it hasn’t gotten to the EXISTENTIAL DREAD of book 2 or 3, but gosh do the things that hit, hit HARD.

@Jennkryst I’m enjoying it immensely so far. Remembrance of Earth’s Past is one of my favorite sci fi trilogies, so really hoping Netflix greenlights Dark Forest and Death’s End.

A Dropout subscription is about the best per-dollar value I have ever spent. I’ve had one for about a year and a half and they just keep getting wildly better.

I would literally cancel ANY other subscription I have before Dropout.

@Selira Dropout is by far the best subscription I have. There’s no bad show on there. Have you watched Very Important People yet??? I WAS DYING!!!
-
@bear_necessities The Augbert episode was the best game of “Yes, and,” chicken I have ever seen and I was dying to talk about it with people.
-
@Selira I disagree.

I really gotta know if I’m the only person in the world who thinks the new season of HotD is just not good. Legit questioning whether it’s AI-written or something.

@Kestrel Unknown, I haven’t blitzed through S1 yet, let alone picked up 2, gimme a week.
Edit: I forgot to come back after blitzing through and catching up. I don’t think that it’s BAD, but I think it suffers from poor source material (I haven’t read Fire and Blood, but reviews indicate it is booooring). Also theorizing that show writers are afraid of straying too far from source like GoT did leading to the massive nose dive, and over-correcting.

I binged the first two seasons of Yellowjackets in a single weekend and can’t stop thinking about it. Can’t believe I have to wait a whole week for season 3 now.
Anyway here’s a flawless ad for it I found in a YouTube comment section:

Excited for the new Buffy!
-
@Sillylily When I started working on my new game, it began as a Buffy game. My wife and I love Buffy/Angel and thought a Buffy game would be cool. We decided against it because it’d been so long since we’d had a series or something related to either show. So we pivoted to an original theme. LOL
-
@Sillylily Slayers, the Buffyverse audiobook by Amber Benson, was pretty effing entertaining, imo. It was kinda like listening to an olde-timey radio show, but make it Buffy. ~If anybody is looking for something in that realm.

I recently watched all four seasons of a series called Evil that was originally a Paramount+ show and can highly recommend it.
It revolves around a small team of people who investigate demonic or supernatural events for the catholic church. One of them is a atheist tech-guy, one is a psychologist, and one is an aspiring priest. They try to find the reasoned and logical explanations for events before the church gives the okay to come in slinging holy water around.
Also, if you are a fan of Star Trek there is a different Paramount+ show called Star Trek: Strange New Worlds that is honestly the best Star Trek show put out in a long, long, time but most people don’t even know it exists.
You get Paramount+ for free if you have a Walmart monthly subscription service for the free deliveries so I have been going through their catalog. They also have the Daily Show.

@RedRocket I love both Evil and Strange New Worlds. I’m a huge Trekkie and, for me, SNW the best Trek they’ve put out since TNG.
