It was leave or be banned via the new rules for me, and I didn’t particularly want to give anybody the “see we even banned SUNNY” fodder. And those rules are a bastardization of what I’ve been saying they need to be since I was a damn mod there in the stone age, so it’s not like I have a problem with them.
But oh look, people are allowed to needle and taunt, but heaven help you if you respond to it.
What really, really, really upsets me about this whole deal is that yet again, the people doing actual real damage to hurt people…won. Great.

Same, I’m OK with being OK with my ban, you don’t say ‘fuck you, @moderator’ and not know how it’s going to end. I am on Reddit. I know the score with this stuff. I have been more bummed about MSB going the way it’s gone than I thought I would be, for lots of reasons, but I think things’ll settle eventually (what incarnation of these boards are we on now? 6.0?) and I don’t wish anyone ill. -
I’m honestly still the most pissed about Farfalla’s initial ban because it was so grossly obviously manipulation on Macha’s part.

@Third-Eye Exactly. I knew exactly what I was doing when I posted what I did. I have no plans to ever go back to any forum with Derp OR Ganymede at the helm. I know what that looks like and no thanks forever.
ETA: Farfalla getting banned was my breaking point. I was content to just pack my shit and leave quietly in the night, but then that happened and my Mouthy Wench gene activated.

@sao Thanks! Ah well, I honestly don’t mind too much. It’s gone and dead - I never cared about a forum, only ever the community. So with that moving, there is really nothing there. Other than I guess weird seething 10 year old feuds people have been clinging onto while everyone else forgot who they even were.

I think a lot of us were otherwise just gonna walk away - till that happened. Which really would’ve meant the death of the community.
