@Aria DUN DUN DUNNNN! For… now.
-
@Whisky I am not am expert but it is my understanding all penis-bearing humans use blood to make their penises (penii?) larger.
-
@GF Not necessarily larger. But more rigid and erect, yes. And the plural is penises or penes.

I would just like to say, though this is very petty and unimportant, that BMD’s little coloured circles denoting different categories on the forum are much more aesthetically pleasing. So there’s that point in its favour.

I really like the pleasant lilac color of the Online indicator.

I want to apologize for the following question, but in my defense I live under a rock and only lurk to periodically lie to myself about the likelihood of playing on a MU or building one.
That said… what’s the tl;dr of all of this? As far as I can piece together, a community revolt of some sort occurred – based on the perception of unfair bannings? Is that it?

@Reason kind of? Like, a good portion of active users on Musoap Box got banned. That led to the creation of this forum, with the people that still wanted to interact and form a community with the people banned.
It started on the basis that people didn’t like the appointment of Derp as mod, for their own varying reasons. People posted about that, Ganymede asked them to stop posting until she could confer with mietze. Posting did actually stop on that subject, for the most part, but then someone got banned for a DM exchange that, in my opinion, could have been resolved with a ‘go to your corners and leave each other alone’.
People started posting about that instead, and Ganymede also asked them to stop posting about that. That is where people kind of drew a line, and were like, fuck no. A lot of people got banned for not dropping it. More people got banned for saying, hey maybe calm down, Ganymede? Some people were banned because ??? still not sure. There is a collection of screenshots of the posts that got people banned. There’s no formal reason for each person coming from MSB adminship except ‘they were told to stop’. So.
Take everything as you want/with a grain of salt. Here’s the link to the screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/L6dUyhC / https://imgur.com/a/gXYQtN5 but I can’t grab you links from MSB because searching as a guest sucks. Almost everything is in the archived Hogpit, though.
-
You can also find a lot of the stuff that went down on MSB if you want to look. I think the posts are mainly in the Hogpit Archive or whatever it is called now and maybe someone the friendly criticism board that I forget the actual name of. From what I can tell, there is very little that was not made public by the non-staff involved.

@Meg And some of us quit in protest… not that it did anything practical.
-
Now we all more or less exist in our corners.
Ima go upload some kitten pics BRB
-
@Pavel Posting BAN ME YOU COWARD made me feel better.
That did something. I guess.
-
@SpaceKhomeini
Now you’re MUSHing again lol. -
@Third-Eye Still funny, isn’t it?
-
I didn’t get banned or leave out of protest. I think I just left out of disappointment.
Here is good though!

Same, except there’s also a cynical “well, MSB is now officially dead, look at how long anyone goes between posting over there” element for me. It’s the smallest component of my decision to leave but is a component all the same.
-
@GF honestly the hog pit was the only reason people went
-
@foksthery I’m not saying you’re wrong exactly, but this community is that community–we’re all the toxic scum who did nothing but poison the community with our Hog Pit negativity, in fact–yet our version of the Hog Pit is rather quiet. We seem to spend more time talking about life and giving each other support than we do slagging people off.
Is that because the move was a chance to start over with something new and break the old habits we learned on MSB, like how a kid graduating high school can feel free to create a new identity apart from the one their peers made for them? Is it because the people we’d accumulate the most bile for aren’t here? Some other thing? I truly do not know, but I know we, the Pit Crew, are continuing to exist as a community quite well without the Hog Pit. I feel that suggests the Pit’s importance was overstated.
