Loretta Swit, Emmy-winner who played Maj. Houlihan on pioneering series ‘M.A.S.H.,’ has died at 87
I loved M.A.S.H. much more now than I did as a kid. It’s hard to explain why, because I haven’t rewatched it, but every time it comes up I feel really fond of the show.

Harris Yulin, Gul Darhe’el himself.
“Duet” isn’t just one of my favourite DS9 episodes, it’s one of my favourite Trek episodes period, and Yulin is a big reason for that.

Ohh, man. I literally have You Better Be Lightning sitting on my nightstand. I’ve never been able to make it through that book without weeping in both the best and worst ways.

@Aria You’d Better Be Lightning was my lifeline through hospice. I’m gutted. But the obituary their wife wrote was absolutely beautiful, and they went out on their own terms.
I fell in love with them when I read a copy of Lord of the Butterflies when it first released. Then I backtracked to Pole Dancing to Gospel Hymns and was hooked.
They just describe MY experience of the human experience so much more eloquently than I would ever be able. The entire world lost the gift of a wonderful translator, and this one’s going to linger with me for a while.
