Our cats were all named after Russian monarchs and our dogs after Shakespeare characters…
Then we got a cat I insisted on naming Jane Pawsten.

Cats named Innocent? Talk about a misnomer.

I love you all!!

@junipersky There must always be one cat in a litter named ‘Bandit’ cuz cats are jerks and why not name one a jerk officially?

Jazz musicians
Children’s lit charactersSo we have TEN kitties that need names.
2 gray with cream tabby marking mamas (sisters, basically twins)
1 black (tiny white dot on chest) teenage girl
1 back tiny baby boy
1 black and cream tiny tabby baby boy
5 various shades of tiny full gray/gray tabby (4 boys, 1 girl)There are lots of good ideas in this thread but I can’t come up with 10 full names!
Another possibility is giving mamas a theme name, then the teenager, and then the 4-week-old babies
Also we could theme mama and her 7 babies, then another for her sister and her teenage baby.

Greek titans

Characters from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
Articles of clothing
Spices in your kitchenI came here to suggest articles of clothing, but the more – I’m not sure what the term is – non-American? – names of clothing: kimono, tunic, kaftan, beret, sombrero, and so on.

@dvoraen +1. But since these are felines with deadly claws, perhaps ‘exotic’ types of weaponry as well! Katana, madu, zhua, kukri, sibat, etc.
-
@Arkandel You can never go wrong naming a feisty kitten Wakizashi.

I think the funniest (And nerdiest too, but I do live in a tech/software dev heavy area) naming theme I’ve seen thus far is coding languages. There’s a metric fuckton of those. Possibly people wouldn’t get it but they might be tickled if they do.
Python, Ruby, Cobol, Java, Pascal, Perl, Rexx, Erlang, Haskell, Opal, Q, Ada, Cee, Cleo, Fortran, Turing, Basic, so many more. I think it would be hilarious.

Characters from The Chronicles of Narnia? Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy, Mr. Tumnus, Caspian, Eustace, Shasta, Polly, Digory, etc. But clearly the best would be Reepicheep, because why not a kitten named after a talking mouse?
Characters from the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings seem pretty accessible too.
