Oh, oh, oh. Kill 6 Billion Demons.

Exalted… preferably using the 3e Essence ruleset, as that one was specifically designed for different Exalt-types to work together. It is pretty nifty, too, and does away with XP advancement, so huge plus for me
Eclipse Phase (with optional space trucking because ships go wooosh!)
-
@Jennkryst Eclipse Phase is a great game.
-
A game using The Magicians IP - a world of magic users with competing agenda, and oh wait there’s a fantasy land we can dip into.
I’m not sure if one has ever been attempted (I feel like there was probably at least an ATTEMPT at everything at some point), but I’d play the heck out of that.
A nerd RPing as a nerd who gets to nerd out about his nerd thing being real is TIGHT.
-
A multisphere x20 game where they use C20 banality standard for supernaturals, and don’t try to shoehorn in the 2nd edition chart. That could be cool, I guess.
Edit to add instead of double post - AND NUKES STANDARD CHARGEN, DO THE PILE OF XP METHOD I HAVE BEEN YELLING ABOUT FOR YEARS
-
I would so so so love to see a Paranoia game. Whether it be MUSH, MUX, or MUD, I could see it working (albeit differently) in each environment, but definitely I’d want it to be RP focused regardless.
-
Rather than another bog-standard BSG game I’d love to see someone do something that’s like Homeworld with the serial numbers filed off, equal parts that “Iliad/Exodus in Space” vibe and some pulpy Dune-style weirdness, etc.
The advantage with this would be to ratchet back some of the overeager and nitpicky milsim war nerd shit that piled up on those.
Also I am legit surprised that there is not an active Expanse game out there, given the nature of the setting.
-
Also I’d love to see some kind of New Weird/occult
Unknown Armies style game but I kind of wonder just how much hands-on effort this would require both from your average player and GMs. This sort of thing may be better relegated to the world of tabletop campaigns for a reason. -
I’d like a CoD game to stick around. They seem to be pretty rare these days, especially in the traditional default urban setting.
-
@SpaceKhomeini While not -exactly- an “Expanse” game, you might want to look up Torchship MOO, as it has some strong Expanse influences.
-
@Livia Lol yes, please. Modern Chronicles of Darkness, and some extra nudging where people get some kind of in-the-know token so not every scene outside your sphere involves tedious tiptoeing around secrets in a collaborative storytelling environment.
-
The current idea I have in my head about the Seven Nations reboot is being inspired by all the time I’ve been putting into Loop Hero recently. The Baddies have won, but not utterly. All that remains of the world is a small campfire and the players have to slowly rebuild the world by remembering that it existed.

Unless you really want to. I do tedious really well.
-
I also would love to run a Dark Ages Vampire game, but not set in the WoD universe. If only because WoD Vampire lore kind of makes my eyes roll out of my head.
Like, vampires in medieval feudalism/dark fantasy.
-
An Unknown Armies game set in a small-medium town where desperate occultists fight for control of the local HOA like it’s their bid for cosmic power even though they really just want to move that eyesore statue of the town’s founder out of their neighborhood.
-
Maybe a bit out there but, the Dishonored universe is so friggin’ cool. It’s got magic, eldritch horrors, steam/dieselpunk technology, and a load of political intrigue.
I’d love to see a game set there sometime. It even has its own TTRPG to copy off of.
-
I just don’t want to set foot in another small town again in my life, not even virtually, but that’s a personal bugbear.
-
@Testament CoD, vs WoD?
Edit to add: some idiot whispered ‘Exalted’ into my ear recently, so my hyper-focus has been on re-learning that pile of complicated rules.
AND I GOT TO THINKING…
I know WoD has problems working on Ares, because powers and dots.
… But what about Exalted? Charms are specific ‘have them or you don’t’ powers, so can be managed with a list. Ditto artifacts and such. No need for an equipment/inventory system like I’d want for a Star Wars game. But. Could work?
