When people don’t understand basic thematic elements, can’t handle any kind of pushback, and spend all their time bitching about a person putting up so much as a shred of ‘no, thanks’.

I left my job of many years for a much better job but holy shit am I tired all of the time now. I just want to not be tired. I want to feel like I’m not scraping the bottom of the barrel for my creativity. I want to feel like I’m not falling into the FOMO pit.

I know it’s temporary and that by September I’ll probably be in a good groove and things won’t be as draining, but GD. I have so few hobbies and this is one of them, lol.

All I could do was laugh at seeing that my ban was permenant. I’ve never been banned anywhere in 20 years of MUing. I never even had a “serious” conversation about my behavior. No warnings. I’m as interesting or scandalous as toasted white bread with nothing on it.

But I’m banned for asking why Gany didn’t just lock some threads or step away. Makes sense.

Now and again just slammed full force with how deeply you just can’t and it’s not anything specific. Just. A. Big. Mental. Nope.

I didn’t get a promotion at work despite being more prepared for the role because a man existed who was older than me.

Who had applied for a lower position? Not even the one I was applying for.

I’m a working person with a full time job that just took on a side gig so I can get ahead, a parent, a spouse. Idk who has time to worry about other people’s friendships.

My internet friends are my friends. If I stopped being friends with them, I’d have a whole hell of a lot less friends and that just seems silly when you’re an adult and making friends is hard as hell???

When you are exhausted from major life changes and just winging everything but it seems to turn out at least okay.

I find it disappointing that my long tenure on that board was brought to an end because I objected over @Snackness and @KarmaBum being banned for utter frivolity when locking the thread and taking a step would have been a sounder choice, in my opinion.

But they’re right in a sense, I knew that I was going to be banned when I hit enter on my post. I would do it again knowing what the results would be. So it’s better if they keep me off of their board and out of their hair.

With that said, I don’t need anyone to be angry on my behalf or further argue with them. The people that remain as active posters on MSB are ones that have a long standing history of manipulative and abusive behavior. In the case of one of the re-emerging personalities, someone that was banned from Arx recently for violating no-contact orders and pretending to not be her.

Those aren’t people I want to be around. I’m content to let it die now.

I use asterisks, slashes, and underlines to provide emphasis with absolutely no consistency at all. Sometimes different ones in the same pose!!

Since December:

My MIL had to have surgery to remove a mass in her lungs. The surgery went well and she’s recovering.

My mom was admitted with pneumonia where I found out she has COPD, asthma, and possibly diabetes. She’s home and recovering and planning on quitting smoke.

Two of my husband’s uncles (brothers) have died, one of them just two days ago.

And we’re coping as best as we all can. This is just life stuff, it hits everyone. But man, I’m just walking in this sudden understanding that my parent’s generation is really starting to decline. I’m witnessing it happening in a very real and clear way that I guess I never actually saw before.

Yesterday one of editors left such a NICE comment on this silly thing I wrote, that I’m still so delighted by it hours and hours later. It seriously made my entire week.

1. What the heck did Macha do that you all hate her so much? I have no idea who she is but it seems like some kind of seriously historic grudge.

Hobos is an avid reader of MSB. He knows exactly what went down. He’s now come over here to ask some questions that he already knows the answer to that are likely to kick at people’s emotions again when they’re raw.
