@Pyrephox Cliff & Cecilia had a horrible tragic end in my head. It involved her turning a bit Rogue-like and transmitting her empathetic powers through touch, and Cliff was all about holding hands and hating powers and anyway. They never work it out.
Because all the best stories are sad ones.
Someday, if we ever have toons that can stand each other again (which is like finding a leprechaun, I know), we can get angsty. You remain one of my favorite people to play psychotic with. š„°

being more interested in a game than a game is in you. thatās all. thatās the peeve.

Asking a character if they would be willing to do an event IC, only to get an @mail telling you that they have this OTHER event they want to do instead of the one you ICly asked them to do because they are sure more players would be more interested in that event.
A couple of months later, schedule a similar event you asked about previously without going through them after they already indicated they were not interested in scheduling those types of events because you want to kick off some plots you also scheduled, only to get an @mail about stepping on their IC job.

I remember talking about an idea I had for an event trying to see if there was any interest, only to have someone not in the conversation post the exact same thing as an event an hour or so later. At the time I was like oh, it mustāve been a good idea because someone else had it too!
I later found out that person had an alt on the channel where Iād been talking about it.
Oh well, it was still a good idea!

I genuinely do not enjoy running events. Donāt enjoy going to them, either. I like intimate rp, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3. And someday I wonāt feel guilty about that. #affirmations

@Nynrose Well I hope they were polite at least. You do a lot, and in the over a decade Iāve known you, you have never failed to be anything but a huge positive contributor to whatever community you were part of.

Reeling a bit from a mispage earlier in the day that kinda took the wind out of my sails.
On the one hand, I guess I know who to avoid in the future. But itās coming at a really bad place of timing.
It really sucks to feel like youāre okayish enough to pass the time with RP wise if thereās nothing better to do, but youāre not of the caliber where it would be worth engaging in deeper RP with you since youāre just a lightweight bore and thereās nothing substantial there.
I do often feel (as do like 98 percent of the people I know) like iām the always the unwanted/last person to be picked for the kickball team. I donāt /think/ itās the reality (and hey if we were all the super popular kickball captains growing up maybe we wouldnāt have gotten into mushing or whatever so itās just kind of a primal worry for a lot of people. But iām feeling it super hard tonight.
Iāll work through it (or disappear) but damn. Iāve done my share of mispages but itās been awhile since I got one and i have to say it kinda really did hurt this time. Even if if itās from someone that I really donāt even care about!

I have definitely said far FAR unkinder things than was said about me. So long term Iām not worried, itās just been part of a tiring, stressful, blah day.

You and I have a bit in common (the bolded bit). Iāve kind of lost my will to RP (in all of 2022 I donāt run out of fingers on one hand for number of scenes), but even when I had more energy for it I always felt more on the side of things, even though I can point to occasions where thatās not true.
