WHAT HAVE I SAID FOR THE LAST TWO FUCKING DAYS.
No, it’s fine. Just keep taking my childhood icons away from me during a year of hell. It’s fine, I wanted to be kicked in the nuts repeatedly.

@real_mirage Erus is still my favorite continent just because of how interesting it was written.

The Isles of Inferna really aren’t that warm. Pretty mild, actually, depending on the season. Nice sea-breeze.sounds like a great place for cultivating mangos to make mango vodka
What kind of wood do you think they use there to make their banjos?
something something guano something something
boo to the idea of any characters from the first game being player characters in the second. big boo
I’m not going to begrudge anyone if that’s the route they want to take, but probably not something I would do.
In this case, it probably might make it very clear from the jump that it’s not going to be an option for returning players.
Gates of Arx open and a bunch of Humvees and Helicopters are waiting outside. Or like laser swords. Do it. Be brave!
Arx: Isekai Version
@real_mirage It’s canonically the same game world, if warped by the passage of ages and catastrophic events, though I am trying to write it so it should not require any knowledge of Arx 1.
You say ‘passage of ages’. More out of dumb curiosity than anything else, how much time has passed between Arx 1 and Arx 2? The verbiage makes it sound like centuries if not thousands of years forward.
The OOC TS boundary crossing(which btw, is obscenely gross nightmare nightmare nightmare) matter kind of reminds me when I first started doing YouTube a couple years ago(I’ve since left, drama commentary has become a cesspool nightmare with perpetual feud between Ethan Klien, Hasan, and Destiny and oh my god I do not care enough to go into it further than that I learned far more about those three than I wanted to and all of it was against my will), but more to the point.
One of the first YouTube dramas that I somehow got involved in was some ‘Gooning in VC’ shit. To make a very long story short(and all YouTube drama are incredibly long winded I’ve since learned), shortly before I started appearing on streams, I was a mod for another YouTuber. Two OTHER mods apparently had this thing where they would get freaky in public Discord when it just the two of them. To the point that one bought the other a Love Sense(look it up, I’m not describing it to you but I feel like you can draw your own conclusions).
Suffice to say, the YouTuber who I modded for and eventually became friends with, found this both hilarious and infuraiting, making an entire stream about a drama that happened in his own server.
And sidenote, this was not the last time those two names were mentioned.
Wisconsin let me the fuck down yesterday. It had one job. Whatever, I’m drinking myself into oblivion, because that’s what Sconnies do.
@Faraday If you don’t have a Jill the Guest or a Bane section, I will riot.

For those who haven’t RP’d in several years, what keeps you checking in/weighing in on the forum? I’m referring here to the forum parts specifically about MUSHing and RP, not the social/ooc parts like RL support, pets, books, dead people, etc.
The assocations I’ve made with people over the years and then harp on myself internally that I don’t keep in touch with those same people as well as I should.
I keep hoping something comes along and grabs my attention like previous games did, but after two years, ever since the end of Arx, nothing has really stuck. Or the things I was playing just wasn’t holding my attention.
And with many people moving to play-by-post(like what Ares does and I say that with no hate), it just can’t keep my attention the way it used to.
So like many people, the ‘spark’ as other say, just isn’t really there. But still, I remember the good and bad through the multiple sites. SWOFA, WORA, MSB, and now here. While I’m not around nearly as much as I have been, there’s still a tether that keeps me occasionally popping in and checking.
Maybe, it’s just out of the vain hope that some ‘new hottness’ will appear and grab everyone’s attention like some games used to. And if for nothing else, the drama threads those games would create here. I never really played The Reach, but man did I love reading about it’s drama.
I started playing FF14 for the first time recently. MMOs tend to be a thing I go to when I’m, neither playing DnD or MUing. Played a whole lot of ESO, and on a lark and at the reccomendation of a friend, I started playing FF14.
I thought the game was just fluffed up hype.
I was very wrong. I’m sorry SquareEnix,
I now understand the jokes about how this game is single handedly holding up SquareEnix financially.
@Wizz To be fair, I think the other website is gone. How do I know, because I was trying to remember a name of this website and typed in the other one.
I love finding interesting threads in the moths between poking my head in.
My first game was Chiascuruo? I’m aware that’s not how you spell it, but gun to my head I could not spell the name. Which is probably the ONLY thing I remember about it. Oh, and it was a fantasy game. So, two things I remember about it.
That’s it. I think I played some random common dude?
