@kalakh I had somebody pull the ‘some people expressed concern to me’ line on me as late as last week.
There is only one appropriate answer. If these people will not stand up themselves and voice their concerns, or at the very least allow their names to be used, then their complaint is invalid.
People with concerns should go to staff and make themselves known. At the very least they should allow the person they pick to talk to staff to identify them. Because it’s bloody easy to pull ‘some people agree with me, actually everyone does’ out of your arse, and there is no way to verify that these people even exist.

@kalakh I have some wild stories about my former guildmaster in the ESO guild I’m an officer in. But it’s not RP or MU related, though this story does heavily remind me of it. Needless to say, some pretty fucked up shit happened and given the abuse they put people through, I wouldn’t piss on that person if they were on fire.

When a scene is moving at a totally reasonable rate and someone starts jumping past me in pose order to respond first.

Yesterday, I was reminded of the cardinal rule of playing politics on games: go in with a way to force the other side to follow through on their deals. Because if you don’t, they will change their mind with 0 consequences.
… which leads to the inevitable ‘even more people will avoid rp with you for daring to use DICE in the SOCIALS’ and I am just so very bleh about everything at the moment. Save me from the inevitable burnout, plz.

I’m not sure if you meant to phrase it like that, but I don’t really agree. What kind of deals are you talking about? You sound like you’re talking on an OOC level, but there’s also an IC element here, and I’m not sure if you’re saying that people shouldn’t be able to change their mind on RP they said they’d do, or what.

@Jumpscare I could have phrased it better, yeah. I had a big response with specific details typed up, but the gist is I meant ‘go in with IC ways to enforce their IC promises.’
The OOC bit I mentioned is just the part of my brain going ‘people are going to avoid RP with you because you will ICly curse them if they ICly break an IC promise’, and like… could be wrong, but it is a mood I’m stuck in.
