Discussion: On Dragon Wings

I never read the books, but I got the idea that when the dragons are mating, the humans they’re bonded to want to do gay stuff. How far off am I?
-
@labsunlimited I read the first two books before I realized Pern wasn’t clicking with me, but as I remember it there’s this whole forced mating flight thing that can result in the riders having sex with people they don’t intend to.
That said, I can’t honestly remember a time when there wasn’t a Pern MU. It’s almost as ubiquitous in the hobby as a WoD MU is.

Pern, Star Wars, WoD, furry/sex. The four MUSH genres of the apocalypse.

@somasatori I’m 50/50 on whether L&L is the Unseen Fifth
or the honorable mention.

Hmm, that’s a good point, though I would probably say that L&L is a qualifier for other things. You either have L&L or not, you know? Firan and Arx are L&L, Silent Heaven isn’t an L&L. Despite it not looking like an L&L most WoD games are definitely L&L.
(I couldn’t find that Calvin & Hobbes meme)

I keep looking at Jeski every couple of weeks. I’ve forgotten more than I remember about Pern, I’m sure, and am more async than not buuuut… I will have to look again!

Come play! We’re comfortably loose with our Pern canon, and very async friendly, promise.

Someone explain pern to me in 1 sentence.

@Cobalt Sometimes a person has a special connection with a dragon and together as very best friends, they breathe fire at horrible worms from the sky.
Plus you get a free t-shirt that says: Dragons made me do gay stuff.
-
@Yam On a colonized planet, the descendants of the colonists bond with genetically engineered, psychic dragons to protect the planet by fighting all-consuming spores from space.
-
@Pyrephox I read this as “colorized planet” and was immediately more interested. Who colored the planet? Is that because of the dragons? How did they do it?
Alas.

I keep glancing here, and keep meaning to make a joke about how the address involves gaslighting, but then I don’t do it, so now you all get to see that train of thought.
