Yeah, if its who I’m thinking of, I met her in the Mage Sphere.
Where she played an Orphan who used sex magic as focus.
And was allowed to hang out in the Traditions Chantry. And, of course, fuck a lot of the male Mages.
Back on The Reach, my character (W) had a Proximus girlfriend (F); this person (jujube/inuki) had a … husband? boyfriend? idek, we’ll call him (A).
Anyway, one day I randomly get an IC email from her telling me I needed to get F in line because she was being a huge slut and hitting on A.
By that point W and F were mostly over each other and a breakup was imminent, but I wouldn’t have cared either way, and neither would W…
…so I mostly just laughed in her face. But I just remember having to read ‘get your skank in line’. Lol.
She’s been nuts for a long time and has evidently not gotten any better.
-
@Coin ‘obviously she already is in line to fuck your husband’ – a line of good rp that would be fun with the right co-player.

@CuriousGamer I looked at this game awhile back and I was not interested, but thank you for the offer. As much as I would love a Magicians game, I don’t think the theme works well for a public game nor would it work for a game USING FS3 (i don’t want to start a war with you, @KarmaBum) just due to the magic system involved.
Anyway this whole thing is a big YIKES from me, and I’ll be adding this lady to my perma-banned list for any future games I run.

Woke up in the morning to find the password changed and my mostly-done character was now a roster character, mostly edited to suit what they wanted.
I would be super pissed if a PC I made (even if I didn’t finish it!) was made a roster without my consent or approval. That’s so rude.
That happened to me on a game once. I want to say Witchcraft & Wizardry? I made an OC, did a few scenes, and idled out, and when I came back months later my OC had been rostered and someone else was playing him, without my consent.
-
@Whisky I know you said you weren’t particularly attached to your WIP character, but I find this kind of theft of work especially heinous and I’m sorry it happened to you.
If she’s this unconcerned about ethics just go to ChatGPT (which is trained off stolen copyrighted works), feed it a completed app and ask it to fart out a new app set in the same world in that format.

Lol SAME. Oh my five minutes on Witchcraft & Wizardry, what a time. This was the only game I’d seen do that, make original characters into rosters without the player’s OK. Another player even played the character I’d made for a while. It was weird.
-
@Third-Eye I never went back again to see what the new player was doing with my boy, but it was WEIRD. I guess it’s nice to know that it wasn’t just me this happened to!
-
Someone else random piloting my retired PC is a horrifying thought. I can’t imagine taking a players character and turning it into a roster.

@YetiBeard what, like this approved character who was renamed, altered and turned into a roster?
(Not my character, but this is… so confusing. Literally more work than just making a new roster bit.)
(edited to add spoiler tags 'cause the image is huge)

[1:11 AM]NeitherlandsMU: FRAAAAAAAAAAAACK
[1:11 AM]NeitherlandsMU: 5 days!
[1:11 AM]NeitherlandsMU: IT ONLY TOOK 5 days before some player threw a shit fit and had a conniption fit on channel and had to be banned
[1:11 AM]NeitherlandsMU: DAFUQ PEOPLE
[10:30 AM]NeitherlandsMU: how do you ‘retire’ a character
[10:30 AM]NeitherlandsMU: to move them from approved to gone?
[10:32 AM]Tat: options are in ‘help manage idle’
[11:27 AM]Emblem of Ea MU: MU attracts more than its fair share of crazy. One learns to live with it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯* (iiiiiiirony)
[9:16 PM]NeitherlandsMU: how do you set someone to DEAD?
[9:18 PM]Faraday: Same way Tat said - help manage idle. Explains the whole idle system.
[9:33 PM]NeitherlandsMU: i don’t see an option for dead
[9:35 PM]Tributary: idle/now <name>=<status> - Sets someone’s status without running through the idle queue. Only ‘None’, ‘Dead’ and ‘Gone’ are valid options here.
[9:36 PM]Faraday: Also in help manage idle it lists ‘dead’ as one of the status options in the list near the top of the article. And it’s an option in the status dropdown on the idle sweep web portal screen.
[9:47 PM]Clockwork: By the way, when you destroy a character in Ares, it does not reassign the “dbref number” like in MUX. It creates a new number each time you create a character. So when you went into Carter and renamed him and changed him into a different character for the roster, his scenes stayed linked to your new roster, Topher. And I would have appreciated you not logging into my character and just removing it as requested.(the “shitfit and coniption” mentioned at the beginning is the incident @Aria was referring to in her earlier post)
-
The modus operandi has since shifted to personalized dead/gone messages. Which is kind of nice in a really butthurt way.

Seriously, their “shitfit and coniption” was basically just…
The magic system was confusing and spread out in multiple places. They were strongly suggesting it be consolidated into one page to reference, because they didn’t understand it and thought having it all in once place might make it easier to figure out.
That’s it. That’s literally it. Is that work for a staffer to do? Yes. Is it an unreasonable request? No. That’s base level organization of the core info you need to make a character in this game.

So, a while back I lost a puppy to parvo and at the same time we thought my spouse’s father was having a heart attack.
This person was messaging me for advice/help on getting Ares up. I told her to reach out to Faraday and she kept asking me and we had this exchange, which honestly really soured me of them.
I don’t mind being helpful to people but when I say my father in law might have had a heart attack and you continue to ask for help without acknowledging that maybe I have more important things to be doing….

That was Clockwork’s character, too. They actually called Wizard out on this on the Ares Discord server.
That poor Ares Discord server has had a lot of boggling moments wherein she came in to ask questions that she could have read about in @Faraday’s extensive documentation.
Including what sort of read as demanding to know why FS3 is not WoD.
She also got super impatient paging me questions about Ares on UTS because I did not know the answers. And also because I was busy with other things.
Her game has not even been in existence a month, and people are impressed by how unhinged she’s been.
-
@Cobalt OMG, the timestamps on that suggest she was harassing us both at the same time!
-
@Tributary yeah, haha, I had magic systems and Ares “explained” to me quite a bit. good times
-
Thank you BMD mods for making it easier to rubberneck and preserve this trashfire…I mean stay informed.

@helvetica Ok, but like. Did you learn anything from it? Or just lose brain cells with the rest of us along the way?
